ALV did not read Jodi's journals prior to her relationship with Travis.

She read info from her family & prior relationships, so she felt that she had a pretty good picture of Jodi.

She learned from reading Travis' blog, that he was motivational speaker, good at it, man who knew his scriptures, man who came from incredibly abuse background, survival as a child was tough, that he was made fun of. He was attractive to women, able to appeal to numbers of women. She doesn't know much about his friendships, except the Hughes, during that time they were concerned abt how he treated women. She learned abt his anger from his own words and how he talked to Jodi. She learned how he talked to women in general.

She does not believe Jodi could have lied to her to help her case bc Jodi had a hard time looking at herself as a battered woman. Frankly, she doesn't find it unusual for people to lie when they do something abhorrent (sp)...people lie when they're afraid.

She said Jodi could've exaggerated, but she doesn't believe she did. She was more of a minimizer.
