Yeah, I discovered those a few years ago when on a driving tour of US. Whole lot cheaper than buying cups of coffee. There are generic brands much cheaper than Vivarin. Besides, if I went inside for coffee, couldn't pass up the danish/donuts that went with it.

One of my favorite drives is the same general path Jodi drove. Stunning! Do it every couple of years. Maybe I'll send her a very descriptive letter next time, highlighting how I CAN do it and she CAN'T anymore.:floorlaugh:

Send her a postcard.

My sister was there. I would have to hire a guide with a car. I live in NY and have no need for a car here.

Oooooooh! I'm taking my Mom on a three week driving vacay this Autumn to New England and NYC! She's 83 and has Alzheimer's Disease and has never been to New York. I decided we'd pack in all the bucket list things we can before she is incapacitated and so in October, we'll be headed your way. She's so excited to see the NY Stock Exchange, the leaves change color and to eat Maryland crabcakes in Baltimore. I want her to see the beautiful Amish farms and the Smokey Mountains. So much to do and so little time...

To keep this OnTopic, it's a trip JA will NEVER get to take with HER mother!

A little OT but...

I didn't watch the CA case until the very end. I know how surprised people who watched the trial were with the verdict. My question is, if the jury had been able to ask questions, would it have changed people's certainty of a guilty verdict?

Even if it wouldn't have changed the jury's minds, does knowing the questions really help understand what the jury is thinking in real-time?

Many of the jurors on that case said they believed she killed her daugjter. They wanted DNA. They missed the boat. Alot if people dont know what reasonable doubt means. A shame.

No she doesn't have any of those. Most that are out there are fakes, there's a list of who has his actual art (there wasn't much). Most of these criminals tend to have other prisoners draw for them, they sign it and send it. Remember they are manipulators and sociopaths, that doesn't go away once they are locked up. Some don't write anyone at all because they don't want their letters sold. Only a handful actually write and less will send things. There's 1 person that writes EVERYONE and is scary scary scary (even behind walls). But anything Gacy that's being sold is 99.9% fake.

Interesting. You sure know a lot of this kind of stuff. Many years ago I met a guy that was in Alcatraz. Talked about an inmate that did views of San Francisco as seen from the prison.

:offtobed:
I am finally sleepy!
I will see you all court side...
Like that's gonna happen.

You have to go to the museum of Natural History. A must. Try to go on a week day. Also while in the museum go into the planetarium. On the walls they have mural size pictures of the moon landing. The space show is great. If you go down to wall st. head over to Battery park. Its walking distance from stock exchange. There you will see the statue of Liberty. Sit by the water. Go to Times Square. Most New Yorkers take these things for granted. I live like a tourist here. If you want to see a play I recommend Jersey Boys.

Good Morning all.

Soooooo as of yesterday next Friday the jury will get to deliberate. I wonder how long it will take? Anyone want to jump in with any idea's?

I'm still no clear on what their options will be??? M1, M2, Man (because of "arguing...stupidest thing ever imo!!)
:scared: :truce: :banghead:

Was he one if the escapees?:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Farm/Ayone,

That the heck is the difference between Man Arguing and Man Crime of Passion??? Sounds like a legislator was in deep do-do to me!!

Two hours. Do they deliberate on weekend?

I thought she was up for the DP or M1?

From what I know it's M1 (DP is penalty phase), perhaps M2 (I think this is Manslaughter by Crime of Passion, and then I heard there is such a charge of Manslaughter caused by "Argument". This is what the defense wants, filed motion, I'm now totally confused!!

I think JM HAS proven premed and has not finished yet...

I am certainly confused then and I missed so much this week and some of last. It is so hard to try and catch up when that happens and all the reading is mind boggling. I hate to keep asking questions because I know they have been answered at some point but can't find them!

So deedee, you think 2 hours?

That's why I think there may have been a compromise of sorts. JM agrees not to fight the surrerebuttal; DT accepts no manslaughter charge to the jury. We move on to closing arguments and deliberations--and most importantly, Justice for Travis.
Jodi showed up at Travis's with the brown hair you see her with in the photos she took with the Helio phone on June 3. When she is arrested on July 15, it looks like she has the same/similar color in her smiling mugshot photo. That would have been almost six weeks after coloring her hair/killing Travis. In the photo JM showed of Jodi and her sister Angela taken after she moved back to Yreka, her hair looks more dark blonde than brown to me and there are lighter blonde streaks that frame her face. This was the same color hair she had on June 2 when she rented the car and posed with Matt McCartney's dog. I can see why the man at the car rental place described her as a blonde. Her hair color during the trial is darker than what she had during early June, 2008.

I'd say 3 days. Well 5 including the weekend.

Is it just me or after yesterday's abrupt ending I cant see them sticking to the schedule presented yesterday?

I forsee jodi having some sort of sickness as she knows it is coming to an end and the constant sidebars.

If this "expert" for the defense is testifying on Wednesday hence why the judge said we will stay til we are finished even if it is past five o'clock I can't help help but think that was a dig at the defense but also feel so sorry for the jury. They will be there til midnight if wilmott/nurmi have their way
