Funny that Roux could not get OP to admit that he looked at *advertiser censored*; OP will not admit to anything, even when his own lawyer tells him to!

Why would there be such a long gap between reeva opening the bathroom window and shutting the toilet door?.

That's true, well spotted .. although I suppose it's possible she was having a smoke out of the window .. that would've taken ages though, and she would still have been at the window when he came in all guns blazing.

I'm not following OP's wardrobe changes. He said that he came home, took a bath, and put on pajamas. But when he gets in to bed he is wearing training shorts and a vest (t-shirt).

I missed that part ,my computer froze and I had to reload:(

For those only following trial here:

Pistorius is frightened of the “people, persons” in the toilet as he’s just heard the door slam. He says he is scared to put his head around the door.

Just as Pistorius is about to talk about firing into the toilet at Steenkamp he takes a long pause. He has paused many times throughout the recitation.
Roux buts in: May I interrupt. You spoke about a passage.

It’s a timely break, I think, giving Pistorius time for composure. June Steenkamp has her head in her hands during his last testimony, overcome. Defense wants prosecution to look at an image of the bathroom window is open and it takes a useful amount of time. Pistorius’ voice is steadier when he confirms that is the same window. Now Roux wants to break again as it’s 1pm. We’ll take a lunch adjournment…!

OP says he had Reeva's jeans in his hand to cover a stereo LED light. :what: And then he went for his gun. And somehow after blowing Mr. Intruder's brains out the jeans end up flying out the window?! I think OP may have gone off script. Or the script just blows.
What jeans are you talking about? I must have missed it somewhere along the lines as I don't recall any jeans laying outside? I do remember seeing jeans laying on the floor of the bedroom during the crime scene pics but will go back and check as Im total lost :)

This is what was at that link which sounds to me like he was implying that she was lying about the event:

Yes, by the next day (meaning he probably had to fly that night). There is nothing here that implies she is lying about taking a ride with Fresco and OP.

However, I think Roux was implying that ST could not have stayed at his house that night...and emphasizing maybe her memory in general of that day is not so clear, if she can not even remember where OP was off to that evening. (She was very vague about what happened after the three of them left the cafe after the shooting.)

I need help with his Valentines Day gift. Did he say that he bought her the gift months ago? He spoke of two different bracelets, one with charms.

I'm not sure why, but towards the end of his testimony there, Reeva's head injury was flashed on screen again, which is why the bucket was handed to OP.

They're doing it at regular intervals, to assess his body language (not the vomiting, that's too obvious .. other things, I mean) :thumb:

* that's JMO, by the way, but I'm pretty sure they do things like this .. they certainly do do it during police press conferences/interviews for murder cases, and criminals like Mick Philpott (eventually convicted of manslaughter, unfortunately not murder, but sentenced to a life imprisonment), Ian Huntley, etc.

Ooooh, the jeans outside on the grass have been a big mystery here on WS. I am sure someone has a photo of them. They were among the photos submitted by the prosecution.

Nel will question the special limitations in SA law regarding the "special defense" raised by OP & test if OP transgressed from SA Law, according to legal discussion on Sky. He has to be tested on. This test of the law revolves around if there were alternatives that OP could have chose to secure the safety of himself & Reeva & why he chose the option he did. Could be very interesting cross by Nel.

Reeva's jeans were found on the ground, below the bathroom window. Check out Juror13 Blog for the photo. OP just said that he had Reeva's jeans in his hands.

He was puking into the green bucket again. No airline or hospital type sick bags for this courtroom! Just the old green plastic bucket.

I wish this judge had an alternate plan in place for just such an occasion. Surely she must have suspected his testimony would include more "puking for effect". Such as, he could be situated in a separate room with a camera aimed at him. And camera could be shut off when he needs to heave.

If this continues it will be used to disrupt the flow and continuity of his testimony, allowing starts and stops along with distraction of the listeners.

If this is a Roux-inspired tactic, ya gotta hand it to him. Very few lawyers would have thought of this one!

A tweet says OP did say Aug. 18th...

The tweet is wrong. :) I think its safe to assume the author means 'open' for ope as well - another typo.

He said the 8th, she wrote the 18th and both are clearly incorrect. As she goes on to say in her next tweet, Reeva's birthday is the 19th.

I call Fruit Loops  any takers? Calling Planet Oscar...come in spinner!

Having OP demonstrate his height in relation to the door was a shameless way for Roux to show the judges OP's disfigured stumps to draw pity and sympathy to his client before OP tells the big lie. Can you say desperation?

I need help with his Valentines Day gift. Did he say that he bought her the gift months ago? He spoke of two different bracelets, one with charms.

Yes, me too. He was kinda vague about it, which seemed to me like he wanted to avoid saying he hadn't actually bought a present for her?

Or was it that he said he intended to buy the additional charms for the bracelet?

Anyway, I'm sure Nel will be addressing all this vague explanations on his x-exam.
And I have a feeling he'll go medieval on OP's *advertiser censored*...

Blimey O'Reilly!

What I was saying yesterday about Valentine's Day not being a big deal . . . 1 point. (Jest)
