Did I just hear what I thought I heard.

Nels: Isn't wound ballistics an area for pathologists?

Witness: Normally, but it can also be part of the forensic scientist? course

Nels: Did you do that course?

Witness: No

Edit: Why is a geologist giving evidence on wound ballistics?

Good morning!

If you just logged in let me assure you that this is the least of the weirdness.

I advise you to have a large mug of coffee and backread so you can.... well, just trust me. you'll see. I promise.

D: To me it's not very exact if you're putting probes through wood several times...it contracts and expands....

N: We're not talking about probes, we're talking about a laser.

He speaks Oscar-Speak!

is this guy op in disguise. i am sorry but it is unbelievabl. did he learn everything on his home computer using 'the internet'

repeat sound using repeat taps of the keyboard. wtf

Not to mention they brought a couple of the wives along, as if this was some kind of cocktail party (when Roux asked Dixon who was there).

I've never heard of bringing your wife to a crime scene replication.

MOO

Mel

I know .. it's truly astonishing, isn't it!

Mr Dixon now says he researched sound effects libraries on the internet....maybe to hear what cricket bats and gun shots really sound like.

The sound libraries are vast and great. But they're on the net...why would he say that! What universe are we onnnnnn.
(But there is a plethora of screams and shouts on those net and professional sound libraries...;))

Also, when Dixon said they used a music producer: "We discussed sounds, as he has a lot of experience with soundtracks..."

I just had to laugh.

D: We know the general height of the accused when he fired the gun....

Thanks :)

I have just logged on.

I wish they could make him demonstrate that because Mangena was so confident about having found which one hit the wall.

D: There are so many variable factors....I'm not saying this hole made this wound.....I'm not speaking as a ballistics expert, I'm speaking as a person trying to establish the facts...

What Electronic Photon Counting Device did you use: A:My eyes

Were you at these sound experiments?: A; No

How was the gun working?: A: It jambed after every shot.

Where did you get your first expertise on sound of cricket bat strikes?. A: Internet

You colleague at the test. Is he expert on Gun shot sounds? A: No he's a music expert.

Your 4 gunshots were spliced together from a repetition of one sound? A; Yes

I feel sorry for him now. He probably loves his job but to be an expert, he really has to know his 'fields' inside and out.

Looking at Milady just then I sooooooo wish I could read minds!,

The wives will testify later for the defense as screaming experts.Team spirit is all about keeping everything with the families.

I can't believe I'm putting my whole life on hold just to watch all this rubbish :floorlaugh:

He'll fade into anonymity for sure...or start doing speaking engagements like any respectable discredited expert witness. ;) Ala Alyce LaViolette and Sally Karioth.

Please pardon errors as posted via Tapatalk with a less than stellar user.

Now, BritsKate, did you have to remind me of those two people?

(lol)

Nel establishes there was one particular day when expert was at the crime scene with the door. D needs his notes to check if he has a report.

Shuffle of paper. 'No'.

But his opinion on the crime scene 'has changed even this week, seeing more photos'.

So it doesn't matter?
