While we are waiting - little off topic. Anybody interested in a brilliant movie - "THE JUDGE" - Robert Downey Jnr, saw it yesterday.

Thanks for recommending it Em, I can't wait to see it! I love RD jnr, he was wonderful in the Zodiac. :)

Barry and June have entered court. Apparently they will read a victim impact statement? I thought they weren't going to?

Defence get to argue mitigating factors first, then prosecution get to the lay out the aggravating factors. I think this phase of the trial may last three or four days.

G'day all from the stormy Blue Mountains of Sydney. Huge thunder, lightning and some small hail.

For the Aussies, it's snowing in Victoria and Tasmania!!!

I forgot about daylight savings! So it is a 6.30pm AU start time now, not 5.30pm. Might go make a quick pasta sauce in that case! :)

New security scanner introduced for this week's proceedings

I sincerely hope there won't be any trouble no matter the verdict.

On telegraph.co.uk I still see that scooter in front of P's house...birds are singing - what about you?

Thanks again Mr Fossil.

As raised in the last thread, will we ever see the full phone records (scrubbed of course) that the Judge used to swing thus trial so effectively in Pistorius' favour?

Might we at the very least be able to determine what the master time or authority for sequence was?

Added security today.

Haha! I forgot, no wonder I'm watching a vacant drive way at Pistorius house, lol. Uncle Arnie has left about 15 mins ago, all cheery like he's going to a Sunday picnic. :/

I'm in Victoria - 28 yesterday - freezing today - just cranked up the open fire - crazy !!!

Hello from Bangkok. I hope this phase lasts a week, it should be good viewing!

Zwiebel, My computer has already crashed due to the Shock Wave plugin! Now back again.

Good morning from Bonnie Scotland - unforunately not the independent one I was hoping for but considering what I thought the OP verdict would be, I shouldn't have been surprised that you don't get everything you wish for ;)

The pics of the security are interesting as he only seemed to have one personal bodyguard on his arrival today, the rest were made up of police surrounding him. Previously there's been a couple of what I presume were court officials in high viz vests but today he was completely surrounded by police.

Good morning all. Shame we will have to listen to all the 'poor Oscar' testimony but so be it. Hopefully Nel will be able to counter argue much of it, though I'm still not hopeful for any meaningful sentence for him. But we shall see.

I doubt it because the judge said they were not to be made available to the public (due to them containing individual's actual phone numbers)

The sequence is based on Roux and Masipa's interpretation of the records plus the testimony. The 10111 has no record so gets moved after Dr Stipp's call to security
