SO SHOCKED that MTR was a pimp-- are you? It certainly explains his money. Despite knowing about <modsnip> and MTR's connection, I never once put together that he was her pimp. Quite honestly, he didn't seem smart enough for that. Just my opinion there. Wonder where they are going to go with this.

Could he not be charged with Fraud for this? He was pretending to have a relationship under false pretenses where he was being paid or "Kept". At the least could he not be charged with some kind of "Pimping" crime. What a piece of work!

If she was on welfare and escorting on the side, had custody of all 5 children at that time she would have brought in $1500-2000 a month with all the child tax credits etc, I guess not including welfare money, or any child support money.

Just pointing out that she may not have needed the money. JMO

with all those children her welfare checks would not have stretched that far...2,000./mth is not a lot of money with five kids... JMO can see why she needed another source of income...

If I listed on a flow chart the proven character flaws of TLM and the character flaws of MR...well lets just say I know whose would be the worst and whose would be most likely to murder a small child....haven't heard anyone state to date that MR was full of rage but have sure heard plenty about TLM...I know who I would not be leery of meeting in a dark alley.....JMO

Someone who shows no flaws could just get up and murder someone.

There was a guy that was on a greyhound bus that cut off a guys head for no reason and bit off his ear. Everyone described him as a quite guy kept to himself. People never thought that he was capable of doing that. Also he has mental issues and was not taking his medication at the time of the incident.

No one knows why people kill, and backgrounds and upbringing do play a role, but there is something in them that just causes them to murder.

Both in my opinion have mental issues but knew what they were doing.

Not one of them is worse than the other.

Just because TLM personality was out there for the public to see doesnt make her any worse then MTR who was very very secretive about his life.

Both are to blame, and both are equal and both are people that I would not want to see alone in an alley.

The only reason you are only hearing about TLM's history is because she is a witness in this trial. And as a witness, her past can be brought in to try to discredit her testimony.

His can't because it would be considered prejudicial. Flawed system IMO but it's the one we have. If people were allowed to testify as to his "character", I'm sure the floodgates would open about his real personality. And I'm sure we'd all have a better picture of why he wanted to abduct and rape a child.

Does a Judge warn a jury, when a person stands accused of sexual assault, and his lawyer brings witnesses forth to show his good, moral character?

If the defense put's MR's character at issue - the Crown can attack it. As that appears to be what the defense is going to try, attacking is not going to be difficult. In my opinion, of course.

It is his responsibility to let the jury know what they can and cannot use as evidence to convict or acquit. The fact that he was dating numerous women, at the same time is not relevant to the case, this no doubt was the legal issue that the defense wanted clarified for the jurors.

Well I hope the jury knows the difference between a philandering cad and a pimp.

I think MR saw women as objects, things he could manipulate, by telling them he loved them etc. He would persist and get what he wanted, money, drugs, a little girl. This woman is another casualty of him, IMO. POOR TORI! JMO

I am not saying she couldnt use the money. <modsnip>. I am not saying that she gave it all because she didnt need it but she gave him a lot because she probably got a lot on top of what she was getting from the government.

I'm finding myself wondering if any of these women are visiting him in jail. Just because they are testifying against him doesn't mean they want to, they would have been served subpeona's and wouldn't have had a choice. I think there is a lot more behind the scenes with these women that we will never know about. MOO

I wonder if he paid taxes on all that money he got! I guess it won't matter once he's convicted of kidnapping/raping a minor and murdering her.

IMO, the evidence is pretty solid as far as MR being at the location of the crime and also the testimony TLM gave as far as the route taken. It all jells so this is why the defense did not argue whether MR was actually there, so IMO the only thing the jury has to discuss is whether TLM in fact coaxed him and if she did why did he lie and get rid of evidence and never go to LE...I think this case is already over.

It goes to who manipulated who - I think. Defense is that TLM manipulated MR. This shows that MR was well aware of ways and methods for manipulating young women to do his bidding.

I am afraid that people look at the females as victims ... when more and more is coming forth that is just not always the case. KLE, in the case below was and still is the one I would be more afraid of in a dark alley.

He's not up on charges for being a pimp, which is why the judge said what he said, it has no revelance to what he has been charged with. JMO
