There is no proper way to hold a hammer when killing someone. In fact, the claw end would do the most damage and Mr. Construction man would know that, so it is likely that he used the claw side of the hammer knowing this.

Really though, he is guilty because he knew exactly where to bring Tori to kill her, he has the connection to Mount Forest. TLM had no clue where they were. He's going down.

Or......looking at it the other way, how does TLM buying the hammer, confessing to using the hammer, and pathology proof the claw end of the hammer was used at least 3 times before the death blows were delivered by the heavy end of the hammer...............show that MR did it?

I have read almost all your post because you try to find the holes in TLM story and you made some really good points <modsnip>. I think the way the hammer was swung doesn't mean male or female but on how you wanted to harm someone. Hitting the claw to rip out parts of a body or hit with the rounded end to knock someone out. JMO

Well I hope the Crown uses my analogy that "the only engine involved in this crime was the one in Michael Thomas CS Rafferty's Honda Civic". And HE drove it straight to Mt Forest (with a few necessary stops on the way for beverages, drugs and murder weapons) where Victoria was raped and murdered. Just like they planned. Both of them. Together.
