Too much mumbling-I have given up on Aquarius.:notgood:

Precious Victims - about Paula Simms who claimed twice that a man knock her unconscious and took her daughter Lorile in 1986i, and three years later in 1989 her six week old daughter Heather. She put Heather in the freezer to throw off the police then dumped Heather's body in a trash bin in a park. The garbage bag holding Heather's body was manufactured within seconds of and by the same machine as the bags found in the Sims' home.
Bumping this...

I don't have a link, so you'll have to google, but I'm pretty sure that Paula's ex husband and surviving son were killed in a freak accident with a drunk driver yesterday in Jackson, Mississippi.

G. J. Smith, the Brides in the Bath Killer, was hanged 100 years ago. The 1937 movie Love from a Stranger was supposedly inspired by the case.

I forgot to add Changeling with Angelina Jolie based on the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders.

That was a very good movie….in a horrible, sad way. :-(

It's on Netflix streaming. Will add to my que.

"And The Sea Will Tell". I'd love to get my hands on the DVD of this movie and I have tried to no avail. BTW, does anyone know if there is a thread on the Mac and Muff Graham murder here on WS?

Not a bad movie. I remember seeing it on TV.

Not a movie but a documentary, A Murder in the Park (2014) about how some anti DP do-gooders, namely Professor David Protess and some of his students from Northwestern University, freed a convicted double murderer from death row and helped send a innocent man to prison for years. Highly recommended.

Reminds me of The Life of David Gale. Possibly my all time aint-DP movie.

I had no idea there was a movie made - I have read And The Sea Will Tell many, many times. Amazing book. Would love to see the movie!

The Newburgh Sting-Documentary on HBO

For many terrorism case watchers, the conviction of four men from Newburgh, New York -- for plotting to car bomb a pair of Jewish temples and shoot shoulder-fired missiles at parked military cargo jets -- has been the most troubling of all post-9/11 terrorism prosecutions. The concerns do not center on the potential lethality of the plot, but rather on the belief by Newburgh Four defenders that the men are victims of entrapment. Each man is serving a 25-year prison sentence for convictions now under appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

(This is our Government folks-What a Farce IMO)

I see no-one has yet mentioned Appropriate Adult, a British 2-part made-for-TV mini-series about Fred and Rosemary West. From memory, much of the "action" is based on reconstructions of the police interviews with Fred after the couple's arrest. The appropriate adult of the title was a trainee social worker who was asked to sit in on the interviews to protect Fred's interests as there was some question about his sanity. She obviously ended up listening to some pretty heavy and disturbing stuff.

There are a number of clips on YouTube though I don't think the whole thing is available there.

Foxcatcher - About American philanthropist John du Pont and his obsession with wrestling and the Schultz brothers, particularly Dave, which leads to tragedy. It's pretty slow going but captured the era and the man John du Pont really well, imo.

I've recently become somewhat intrigued by the Blonde Dolly murder in Holland in 1959; has anyone seen the true crime film by the same name?
