But we also have to remember how many innocent civilians who happen to be in areas where ISIS are near who would be killed also. I think ISIS uses the potential of civilian deaths as a human shield of sorts, knowing that that would be the reason our countries hesitate in air strikes.

When something like this happens it's easy to have the knee jerk reaction of "bomb and kill them all!". Honestly speaking, that's exactly the same thoughts extremists Muslims are having, just against the west. Whenever there is a bomb or an act of terror, innocent lives are needlessly killed for what? Being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Same way the innocent civilians on the trains on 7/7 were.

Oh god. Poor Tunisia, this is going to massively damage their tourism trade :(

"LONDON – The British government on Thursday told all U.K. tourists to leave Tunisia because a terrorist attack is “highly likely,” saying the North African country’s government has not done enough to enhance security.

The Foreign Office said it is advising against all but essential travel to the North African country. It said that British tourists in Tunisia should contact their travel agents, who will arrange flights to bring them home. Independent travellers were advised to return on scheduled commercial flights."

Tunisia Massacre: Killer's Parents Defend Son

The mother of the man who killed 38 tourists on a beach in Tunisia tells Sky News she believes her son was framed.

Rezgui's family insist he was brainwashed into carrying out the attack, but have not named any group or individual.

"They got to my son. They used him and they framed him for the crime," his mother said.

"I can’t imagine he could carry out such an operation? He was carrying his weapon and was just walking. He didn’t fire it. I want to know who fired and then framed him," she added.

SECOND TUNISIA ATTACK FOILED

Five Islamic extremists on the verge of carrying out another terrorist attack on holidaymakers in Tunisia were yesterday shot dead.

The five men were killed by Tunisian special forces as thousands of Britons fled the North African country after a security alert.

Holiday companies started flying home 3,000 people yesterday after the Foreign Office warned that another ISIS attack was 'highly likely'.

Security forces tracked down eight ISIS suspects believed to be about to launch another bloodthirsty attack on tourists, with five of the militants killed near the town of El Ktar.

The three others escaped and are still on the run, the Daily Mirror reported.

An intelligence source told the newspaper: 'Tunisian Special Forces acted swiftly as the evacuation got under way to stop them launching another attack.'

Deluded. Enough witnesses to confirm it was him, enough bullets in bodies from HIS gun. Stupid woman.

Words of father:
Asked to describe his son, his father paints a picture of complete normality – a boy who loved football, dancing and reading and who did well at school.

Abdul-Hakim Rezgui said his son worked nights at a cafe to earn money so he could continue studying in France.

"For four years he was studying at Kairouan University and was never absent," he said.

"He wanted to make money to help himself. He wanted to buy good clothes.
"People say he spent two years training in Libya. How could he train in Libya? How was he able to do that? What about his university?

"I say to the tourists: God bless those who died. And God bless my son. My son was not capable of this. Bad guys tricked him and God will give him what he deserves."

Tunisia scrambles to seal border amid growing ISIS threat

(CNN) -- The desert town of Remada in southern Tunisia has suddenly lost 33 of its citizens. They vanished overnight last week and are thought to have crossed the nearby border into Libya, amid a crackdown by the Tunisian authorities against suspected jihadist cells.

Jihadists who slaughtered 60 people in terror attacks at Tunisia beach and museum jailed for life | Daily Mail Online

Earlier today a Tunisian court handed seven jihadists who killed 60 people during the attacks life sentences.

The closely linked shootings, which occurred just months apart in Tunis and Sousse, saw dozens of defendants go on trial, with many acquitted.

Four were sentenced to life in prison for the shooting rampage at a Sousse tourist resort in June 2015, which killed 38 people, mostly British tourists.

Five other defendants in the Sousse case were handed jail terms ranging from six months to six years, while 17 were acquitted, prosecution spokesman Sofiene Sliti said.

Three were given life sentences for the earlier attack in March 2015 at the capital's Bardo National Museum, in which two gunmen killed 21 foreign tourists and a Tunisian security guard.

Seven jihadists get life sentences for deadly 2015 Tunisia attacks

Among those who were facing trial were six security personnel accused of failing to provide assistance to people in danger during the Sousse attack.

This shooting was carried out by Seifeddine Rezgui, who opened fire on a beach before rampaging into a high-end hotel, where he continued to fire a kalashnikov and throw grenades until being shot dead by police.

Four French nationals, four Italians, three Japanese and two Spaniards were among those killed in the Bardo attack, before the two gunmen themselves, armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles, were shot dead.

Investigations showed one of the gunmen, Yassine Laabidi who was born in 1990 and was from a poor district near Tunis had amphetamines in his body.

His fellow attacker Jaber Khachnaoui, born in 1994 and from Tunisia’s deprived Kasserine region, had travelled to Syria in December 2014 via Libya.

One suspect questioned in court, Tunis labourer Mahmoud Kechouri, said he had helped plan the Bardo attack, including preparing mobile phones for Sandi, a neighbour and longtime friend.

Kechouri, 33, said he was driven by a “duty to participate in the emergence of the (IS) caliphate”.

Other defendants accused of helping prepare the attack said they had only discussed ideas with friends. Several alleged they were tortured in detention.
