Well, the 31 days, trunk evidence, duct tape etc didn't convince the jury so I don't think a little video of KC throwing a fit would have done it.
Of course this video will only confirm the fact that KC is guilty because she really IS guilty.

Of course this video will make us angry and sad. And rightfully so. It's all about Caylee for us. The little angel whose precious life was taken away so cruelly by the one person who should have loved and protected her.

No there was no HIPPA mentioned during the initial sealing - HHBP made that clear at this last hearing - he was reminding Baez he was a dollar short and a day late with the HIPPA argument - particularly when it was clear it was just something Baez was throwing into the blender and had done no research at all.

He relied on his usual drama saying it was a form of "torture"...I could see how it could have been argued that it was a calculated move by the OCSD to protect FCA's physical and mental well being in case she was going to do some damage to herself when she heard the news and they pre-empted that by having medical personnel standing by...:innocent:

Anything in particular that gave you that impression? My impression of the dynamics was different. I didn't get the impression that HHJP did not like JA and I did get the impression that HHJP and CM had a history, but that was strictly from the way CM started out trying to the 'Charm and disarm'. It wasn't from anyway that HHJP ruled or spoke to CM. It was the way CM tried to make a 'personal' connection to the Judge everytime he addressed him and I think HHJP caught on to that early and ignored it.

Yes . Several times HH mentioned that "both sides " were engaging in (insert whatever) ,instead of addressing what JB was doing at the time. It had me scratching my head .
The one incident that solidified my feeling was when HHJP yelled at JA for saying he would wait until JB was through texting before finishing his statement.
JB was at the podium ,IIRC,arguing something or complaining about something ,and while HH and JA talked he was looking at his cell phone and texting .
He was wrong.
He should have been paying attention to HH and JA . Instead of simply waiting on JB to finish ,HH said he didn't care what the DT did ,and bashed JA.
That was personal and an over-reaction ,IMO . It was also aimed at the wrong person.
I really like HH and had high expectations,but he really let the courtroom run amuck,which surprised me.I blew it off as allowing for appeal issues,but watching the judge in the MJ case ,I see a huge difference of professionalism.HH is smart and knows the law backwards and forwards. He's still a great judge,but ,like JS ,he seemed to give the DT a "head start" since they were handicapped by JB.
I am shocked he didn't release the jurors names and will be angry if he keeps the video sealed.
It's the law.

It was actually Judge Stan Strickland who sealed the video several years ago as too inflammatory before her trial.

That was a jaw-dropping order JS wrote when he sealed the video.
We were so sure Casey would pay back then.

I just do. not. GET IT!!!!! He is the WORST lawyer ever! Not familiar with anything, everything is a billion times worse for Miss special Casey, GAH!!!! These jurors must have been blind, deaf, and dumb! Ugh. I did not need a reminder of why I can't stand him so much. Go back to Aruba, Baez!

My sentiments exactly !! Well, these jurors may get to see the monster they acquitted in action ... IMO, they should be the first ones to watch it ...

I do know why I want that tape released to the public: It's because Baez and FIA DON'T want it released. I know that's petty, but they've already enjoyed all the perks and protections of the FL court system--so many perks and protections that Baez was able to get away with "contemptable" antics during the trial...And FIA was able to get away with murder! Enough is enough.

If the tape is released, it will be nothing more than a tiny little victory over Baez and FIA, but I'll take that. We're entitled to a few little victories. IMHO.

Couldn't agree more ! Is it also petty to be tickled that KC will throw another fit when her defense can't do anything about it being released ?? Just picturing her reaction is making me grin ... so I guess I'm petty too ... :giggle:

He is still deciding since JB threw in HIPPA which wasn't mentioned at all in HHSS's original ruling.
The rumour mill says we will hear tomorrow.

not anymore...it was reported locally in Orlando during the first few days after the remains were found.
Casey had purchased a $21 transistor radio from the jail commissary and the tv's in the common rooms only broadcasted local Orlando stations

It may take some time, unless another WS'er has a link handy, but I will go and search to see if any links remain out in cyberspace and go back and read some of the Correction Officers interviews...perhaps it was one of them that said Casey was listening to the radio just before being escorted out of her cell to the room where the tv was.

I think Judge Perry was very concerned about not letting anything happen that would cause a mistrial. So, I think it seemed as if he came down on the Prosecution harder and babied the Defense more for that very reason.

He did hobble the prosecution, there is no doubt. From jury selection to jury "instructions", it was over before it began. He certainly smacked JB down - but it was more bark than bite. JB ran roughshod over JP and it was atrocious. I fear this latest 3 DAY decision will be based on his imaginary threats to FCA and not the Sunshine Law.

There is no sound. How could it be a HIPPA issue? It would be unclear what any of the staff were doing and what they were giving her, if anything. Just bringing her down to sit in the waiting room does not mean they were being cruel, it just means they wanted her there in case she had a very bad reaction and might hurt herself. Apparently she remained pretty calm and only requested a sedative, which we already know. The transcripts that were released from the jailers pretty much related everything that happened so I don't understand why it wouldn't be released. KC already knew the child was dead so it couldn't have been a big deal for her. jmo

Yeah, but since 6 months had passed, she didn't think the body would ever be found. It was an Oh, Sh**! reaction. Caylee's remains being discovered should've sunk her case!!!:behindbar:behindbar:behindbar

It speaks volumes. FCA has had her day in court, was found NG and is protected by double jeopardy so why worry?

To continue the fight to keep them sealed after the fact suggests more strongly than ever that FCA is clearly Guilty, they know it and, the video darn well shows it.

Who cares about HIPAA if this is just an innocent reaction to the discovery?

It could even rehabilitate FCA ... that this poor young Mother of the Year just discovered her baby is gone --- unless it is consciousness of guilt!!

Clearly the latter, clearly damning and, clearly needs sealing to keep the secret.
