I would think KG is one of many aerospace engineers for Lockheed Martin. So why he specifically be targeted? Can you expand a bit on this theory?

I know so many people with super high clearances working for much more important jobs (think of Snowden)...and they have never been targeted.

I also could tell stories of people with super high clearances who should NOT have them, or they have lost them because they are criminals (on various levels).

His job. His position. His security clearance are completely irrelevant in this case, IMO. Sort of like the neighbor who always says of the pedo or murderer "oh he was such a nice guy..."

With that said, I still believe this happened in her home based on information we have thus far.

Has anyone sleuthed out recent attempted kidnappings or sexual assaults in Saginaw and the outlying area? I read of an attempted assault on an 11 year old girl where the man masturbated as he watched her in the Walmart, I forget the name of the city, fairly close to Saginaw, there is a video still of him on the news.

LE is searching red trucks further out than Saginaw, so, there must be a suspicion that the perp is from out of town.

ITA. When a child doesn't show up for dinner normally it would have be reason to call LE and to notice that child was missing.

What made the perp decide to put a tarp around the garbage bag?

Wasn't the garbage bag sufficient for his "disposal"?

Inexperience.

This thought the garbage bags in the kitchen would be enough. We all know what happens with those if you overload them - they tear.

My guess is the bag tore when he tried to load it onto the truck. The tarp was the only thing to hand and he wanted to get her body gone asap. Before his wife and kids came home. :sick:

OK, I have to confess, I know to within a week when they were out here, It was about 6-7 weeks ago. I can tell because of what I had mowed and not mowed and what flowers were growing in a cluster. I am within 2 miles of both locations, Alanna's house and where her body was found.

Sounds like we are nearly neighbors. I am less than a mile from one location, just a little further from the other. And I know which day, too, because I see furniture I just sold on Craiglist in my garage and my husband is outside watering my flowers with a goofy look on his face, lol!

Yeah, that's quite likely.

I'm also wondering whether the person driving the truck didn't know he had a body in back. Wondering whether the perp had the body in the garbage back and just tucked it in under the tarp on top of a load of trash or yard rubbish or something, not realizing it wouldn't stay without being tied down.

Do most of the stoplights in cities have cameras on them? Most of the traffic lights around here have the cameras that detect how to direct traffic but can they also pull footage from those if need be? DH was talking to a guy at work last night that used to be a cop and the ex-cop was theorizing that the reason this guy was taking the route he did was because he was trying to avoid traffic cameras seeing him and chose to take the residential streets instead. Of course, the home security systems may have messed him up anyway (hopefully...) but that could explain why he was taking such an unorthodox trek?

Makes sense, although for me a tarp is not that available. Would have to ask hubby. don't rake leaves here. Just mow them and they become nice food for the grass and soil. So to me a tarp is not that prevalent.

If it has paint splotches on it, then it could be a handyman.

Sure would help to know if the truck was newer, older, etc.

The green paint splotch. Why would a vehicle have a paint splotch of a totally different color. A fairly large splotch if it is the size of a softball

Paintballers often have a logo like that on their vehicle -- usually a magnetic one. Or a real splat if they parked too close to the field

The distance between the two cases is less than 2 miles....it's a huge coincidence. Both were 6 years old, both brunette, both disappeared while playing on their street in broad daylight and both were murdered.

Are we all sure that this vehicle should be tied to this case? Did someone witness this truck dumping the tarp.....how did this truck get connected to Alanna?

Due to the circumstances, I believe this has got to be a local.

A random predator avoiding cctv would be a bit better organised than dropping the body on a street corner.

The body dump, the garbage bag, the tarp, the locality, the victim, all add up to a local and a disorganised one at that.

Very local - possibly a few doors away kind of local.

This was a crime of opportunity imo. He had been watching Alanna for a while.

Does anyone know if this was a new or older model truck? Did it look like it could have been out on a dusty farm hauling around horses or was it nicer like it is usually parked in town. I wish more information was released. The witness to this truck was able to notice green paint, they should be able to give a little more of a description.
