Mailbox is two hundred yards from house. So it’s a long driveway.
It's a very large property in a small rural town. This was a crime of opportunity, committed by a monster. A chance encounter, and that was it. All that's left now is to deliver justice for her grieving family. Get it done, Texas!

What is that expression in his mug shot? It's not anger. It's not guilt, sorrow or remorse.
This monster actually looks like he's about to smile.
Am I the only one seeing that?
Someone please tell me I'm not the only one seeing that.

I understand your point of semantics and details relating to the location. It is similar to what the police said..he’s from Lake Worth, but his address posted above says Fort Worth. Two technically different places but also neighboring. But for those not familiar with this area, Lake Worth is really small.
Lake worth PD put out a tweet yesterday saying he is NOT a Lake Worth resident however he does live across the Lake .. which is Fort Worth . And he was adamant on it lol.

The purpose of the cameras are to protect the driver, if he knew where they were present or where they were located he could have moved the vehicle so it would not catch his activity.

It is a rural rural area. His delivery time would have been similar, after she was home from school. He likely had seen her before- this was likely premeditated.

What was the length of the driveway?
Where did he leave the package?
In rural areas it is common to have a large mailbox near the road where deliveries are to be made. Unless it was a big package and he had to drive up the driveway? I would be curious to know the length of the driveway from the road, and where he parked his truck typically for deliveries.
In my opinion only,
Justice for Athena
The driveway was 149ft (calculated by OP I responded to). I rarely see the same FedEx driver in my area, especially around the holidays - and we get A LOT of packages. I’m not sure if you can pick and choose a specific area. Athena being outside at that precise time in the rural countryside would be like winning the lottery for a pedophile/predator.
I have drivers who leave packages at the end of driveway by the gate but most bring to my front porch. I thought the package was delivered to a neighbor? I speculated it was the one across the road and he was headed back by Athena’s driveway.
If it was her home, he could have easily dropped it off on the porch and made the circle turn in her driveway. I can’t imagine he was that “ballsy” - if so, that’s terrifying.

Why does it say southeast of Boyd? It should be west of Boyd.

CR 4599 is between Cottondale and Boyd. Cottondale is west of Boyd, Paradise is N of both.
All three make a equilateral triangle with Cottondale at the bottom left, Boyd bottom right and Paradise at the top.
If this is where she was found, it is 7-8 miles east from where she went missing.

Look on Google Maps, search CR 4599 Boyd, TX
All of the County Rds are marked on Google Maps

Justice for Athena!
Yes I saw this as well. Literally 6.7 miles from dads house and where she was found.

I think LE got cellphone pings or something and that is why they were suddenly searching all the different areas. Imo.
IRRC a delivery was made to a house close by (within the area...not like nextdoor or something). The sheriff would not disclose the address of that house. When FedEx or any other delivery service delivers your package, they input into their handheld system thingie the time it was delivered. That would also be digital evidence. I do recall the sheriff, or maybe it was the FBI guy, saying they contacted FedEx and their cooperation helped them locate him. I believe during the canvassing of the homes within the 5 mile area is when they learned of the delivery and followed up with it which led to the driver and ultimately finding the precious child.

I think people were focusing way too much on the word ‘argument’. My five year old talks back to me and we definitely have a back and forth when he gets in trouble, and it sometimes ends with him storming off and slamming his bedroom door. Maybe I wouldn’t use the word ‘argument’ to describe that interaction necessarily but I don’t think it’s an unusual way to describe it, especially when your child is missing and you’re panicked. MOO

Has it been determined that Athena was r...d? I have seen no mention of it. To me imo it seems likely but I have not seen it confirmed. I hope and pray this poor girl and her family gets the justice they deserve. I am on the fence with dp and I would never want to make that decision on a jury. <modsnip> I hope he pleads guilty and the family members get their chance to face him in court. If he doesn't get dp he will def stay in jail for the rest of his life.

Who'd of thought a fed ex driver? Scarey times.
The ME will determine all the above soon I hope. And if he doesn’t get the DP, he won’t last long in jail.. believe me.

Not at this time, but there could be additional charges after the ME is done taking care of her. It made me profoundly proud and profoundly sad at the same time, when the LE (forgot his name) spoke to the media last night and stated she had a Texas Ranger escort to the ME, one in front, and one in back.

Even if SA did not take place, and I hope it did not, I hope she fought as hard as she could, I think it's safe to assume SA was likely the motivating factor for him abducted her.

ADMIN NOTE:

Complaining about previous posts that you think were suspicious of family members is NOT ALLOWED in the same way that posting an insinuation/suspicion/guilt of a family member IS NOT ALLOWED. NEITHER are considered family-friendly or in accordance with the WS TOS you agreed to when you joined.

Going forward, ALL OF THOSE WILL BE REMOVED if we learn of them, as will a continued bickering debate about it.

There is one direction to point fingers right now…….and the suspect is the only one that can be discussed in a negative manner here at this time.

What about some who use sub-contractors like FedEx use more careful vetting of their employees ?

The lady who claimed she was assaulted , did she go to LE immediately with her accusations ?
Fwiw, I think she may have been telling the truth .... but was maybe too frightened of him at the time ?
A person who can kill an innocent child will not hesitate to kill a person who is accusing them of sexual assault.
Imo.

Here's the link but as usual take with the proverbial grain :

According to this, it's a crime of opportunity.
I agree. “In the course of a day as a package handler, you could drop off an average of 120 deliveries or more.” The delivery drivers are tracked and are supposed to be in almost constant communication to keep them on schedule, I read in description about UPS drivers.
It just seems so unlikely imo that Athena was outside so often in this rural area that it could be planned. The drivers have devices that record each and every delivery. They take pictures if delivery is left at the gate - this insures that someone cannot say a package wasn’t delivered. I deal with USPS, UPS, FEDEX and others all the time. They cover their a$$ with “digital evidence” - which is how they got this monster. I swear he’s delivered packages to my house, many of which come from airport in DFW area. I rarely see the same driver but I suppose they could be assigned to a specific area??

bolding mine.
Holy cow. Glad you and yours are ok.
Scary !

In my opinion, this insignificant Fort Worth vs Lake Worth spat is worthy of zero attention. A beautiful little girl was torn from her family and horribly murdered by a weird and twisted loser. It doesn't really matter if he lived in Fort Worth or Lake Worth, in my opinion.
