It’s been a minute since I’ve been in Plantersville but it’s all woods. Country. So, lost in the woods seems about right. Although seeing the neighbors dog? I say he’s between his own home and the neighbors home. Only problem? We have so many critters and creatures. If he’s been out there this long…I worry about snakes, boars, etc.

Christopher’s mom and a neighbor reportedly witnessed him chasing a neighbor’s dog that was loose on Deer Park Lane. They last saw the boy approximately 75 yards from the home and ran to the area, but he was nowhere to be found.

Multiple agencies including the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Canine Unit and a Department of Public Safety helicopter have searched the area to no avail. Sheriff Sowell stated the search includes a heavily wooded area as well as door-to-door searches at homes in the neighborhood. Water rescue crews have also searched and continue to search bodies of water within the area.

Search continues for missing 3-year-old

Sheriff Sowell says when Ramirez disappeared, he was with members of his family who had just returned to the home from selling food and drinks on the side of a road at a different location. They were unpacking things from their vehicle while the child was playing with the neighbor’s dog.

Sheriff Sowell says the family was distracted with the unpacking for only a few moments and when they turned around Ramirez had disappeared. According to Sheriff Sowell, a family member and a neighbor saw him go into the woods. The dog eventually came out of the woods but Ramirez did not.

Sheriff: Foul play not suspected in case of missing Grimes County child

So....the family was distracted for "only a few moments," and a family member and a neighbor saw Christopher follow the dog into the woods. I wonder why no one went after him at the time and I wonder how much time passed from the time he went into the woods until the time the dog came back. Also wonder how much time passed after the dog came back until they started looking for Christopher. Since they know where he went and when he went there, it doesn't seem as if he could have gone very far. How far away is Mill Creek?

10:45pm update
Authorities said they have received new information from members of Ramirez's family that he likes to play in vehicles. The search team gathered and decided they would once again search each and every vehicle throughout the subdivision.

Teams will also be searching all sheds, pools and other places that look like good hiding spots.
