KL's girlfriend sounds like a real winner, too !
"He's an awesome father. He picks my kids up from school. He "take care" of my son.....
Please speak with correct grammar......
He's a BUM living off of you and you're about as dumb as a doorknob !

Let's not forget. She said he doesn't need money because she makes Plenty. He had a sugar momma. Lol

I've lived in Dallas all my life and I've heard the Dallas PD compared to smaller suburbs as follows:

Addison for example, a cop arrives for work gets in his car does equipment checks etc, does some park checks, observes traffid, waits for a call.

Dallas, a cop arrives for work gets in his car and he is immediately 6 calls behind.

DPD officer told me the same thing.
Couldn't pay me enough to live in Dallas County.

KL is set to go before the judge in Federal Court today at 2 pm for the possession of a firearm.

When my burgulary took place, it took DPD 7 hours just to show up. The responding officer was given a typed list of everything that was stolen and still couldn't get a single item from the list onto the report correctly. Not one damn item was correct. If you ever need a copy of a police report in Dallas, then good luck. After I requested it, I had to wait 6 months just to have a copy printed out. Need to make corrections to a police report? Hahahaha! Don't hold your breath!

this carelessness from DPD cost me $40k. Their carelessness with keeping track of Brenda Delgado probably means they will never get her out of Mexico. My issues with them are absolutely minor compared to their inability to even keep a murder suspect under surveillance. You'd think they would be able to prioritize that - especially now that it has come out that CC sang like a canary from day one.

They should have just arrested BD right from the start. I don't understand why they didn't. They had CC's claims that BD is the one coming up with the plan to rob Kendra. They had jeep's owner saying he loaned the car to BD. Seems like that should have been enough for an arrest while they were building the case.
What did they think she was going to do when they let her go with no bail? She is facing a life in prison or a death penalty. Of course she took off.

And I would bet you are not the only one.

Sounds like a good case for a class-action lawsuit.

So, in reading the complaint filed against <modsnip>.....it says when DPD arrested him, the person who arranged the connection with KL and BD had an active warrant in Dallas.
I wonder if they will arrest him for his involvement.

Police are pretty much immune from lawsuits for not doing their jobs well enough. You can sue them if they do something outside their job duties, but you can not sue them for not doing their job well. If they beat you up you can sue them. If they don't take a report you can't.

:stop: Do not sleuth family members of victim or suspects/charged individuals. The rule has not changed.

Hi Atom and Tina, I'm from Dallas also, lived here 43 years and my experience with the times I've called the police has always been good. Like within minutes. I have heard that DPD isn't paid as well as officers in the surrounding suburbs. Just supporting my local blue here, no family or friends work for the department, just my experience.

I'm sorry that you've had bad experiences, I'd be unhappy if I'd had the same experience. Also agree that the Dallas Attorney's Office is one hot mess! I can't believe she's still in office! Such a shame on so many levels.

Well, apparently they did... BD was booked into Dallas County Jail but released from custody on 9/5 ... Reason shows as "Other Reason" which seems odd - her book in number is sequentially close to CCs

One of the Dallas Morning News articles stated that she was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants and held while her residence was searched. I'm guessing that they were hoping for a smoking gun to be present there, which there clearly wasn't. So, she was released.

What smoking gun were they expecting? They had CC's statement that BD organized the robbery and the Jeep's owner statement that he loaned the car to BD. Seem like that should have been enough to arrest her.

They arrested her on traffic violation that had nothing to do with this case. Then let her go.

No, I think it's pretty apparent given the timing that they snagged her to hold her. They were already likely following her and used the one thing they knew they could to hold her, at least temporarily. Just because CC made statements against BD doesn't give DPD grounds to hold her. And just because the jeep owner stated that he lent the Jeep to BD, again doesn't give DPD ground to hold her. BD stated she then lent the Jeep to CC, and CC is the one in the video driving the Jeep and confessed to doing so. There are laws in place to protect people from being held without probable cause and evidence. Yes, it's maddening that BD got away. But I do suspect that legally, the DPD had their hands tied. I don't know if they were still surveilling her when she disappeared.

Witness statements is evidence. CC confessed she drove the jeep, but claimed BD is the one who paid her to do so. Jeep owner said he loaned the Jeep to BD. I fail to see why that is not enough to arrest her. Seem to be enough in other cases to hold someone on statement from witness, such as Bella Bond case.

I remember a news report, at that time, where the brother told reporters that their dad was at the police dept after BD was brought in for questioning. I suspected dad might have had some political pull at the time.
