Yes, BD's indictment states that U.S. Currency from BD and a drug cartel was promised to KL to murder KH. KL must have been offered a hell of a lot more than $500 allegedly offered to CC to drive. So, we're likely looking at a Mexican drug cartel now, no? I have an entirely different view of little BD now. Yikes.

This latest news, including the suggestion of possible cartel involvement makes me very happy that CC's minor child was removed from the family home. For his own safety that now seems a very wise decision. The mere suggestion that the cartel may have been in some way involved, even peripherally, meant that little guy was in possibly extreme danger. BD knew where CC and her family members lived.

I am putting more stock in CC's brother's statements to press about someone driving by the family home and firing shots at it in light of all this. I'll say that.

There are new developments Thursday in the murder of a Dallas dentist.

Two people police believe are connected to the death of Kendra Hatcher have been indicted, and there's mention of a connection to a drug cartel. More at link . . .

Not completely surprised about the drug Carsten connection. Research I had done on dental chains in Texas brought up quite a bit of information about problems with dental offices and the drug cartel connection. Curious as to what dentists BD worked for or did her practicals under ( do hygienists do something like a residency to qualify for licensing?)

BD is in Mexico, is a Mexican citizen, and has just been formally indicted here by a Texas grand jury.

"Dallas Police have known of Delgado’s whereabouts for weeks and have been working with authorities to extradite her. Extradition to the U.S. could not happen without an indictment."

Yes, it appears the DPD was in fact working hard to bring BD to justice after all.

Of course she is in Mexico. I believed that from the start. Mexico might never extradite a Mexican citizen.

The article claims she has dual citizenship in which case she would be a citizen of US, not just permanent resident. But then they also claim she is a permanent resident. So it's confusing as to what is actually her status.

There was somebody posting in comments to the articles very soon after the murder that BD run off to Mexico. Clearly people knew even back then she run off.

I hope the DPD throws the book at them. They knew she was guilty and aided her in fleeing prosecution. Shameful and entirely lacking integrity.

No, I understood. I do not think hearsay (he said, she said) would make it into a grand jury indictment. I personally believe LE has evidence that there is a connection.

He wouldn't have been happy if she promised to pay him but didn't. She hang around for at least some days after the murder. Would be plenty of time for him to become angry and do something to her if she didn't pay up. So I am going to guess she did pay him.

Could be she paid him cash up front and the drug cartel money and drugs were to come later.

*shrugs* we're all just speculating at this point. It'll be interesting to see what other evidence on BD there is. I just find it hard to believe if she was really connected to a drug cartel that she would hire CC to be the getaway driver and KL to murder Kendra.

But we shall see.

Yup. Never a doubt at all about DPD. Kudos! The doubts come up in almost every case and are almost always dispelled by great police work out of our view.

But I'm afraid a little kidding is in order. I'm cooking up a murder* of crows for those who doubted. Would a nice Texas barbeque make it more palatable? I'm taking orders.

Despite our differences of opinion about DPD, we're all on Kendra's side and I think we can celebrate some good news together. I have no doubt that BD will be brought back and tried for Kendra's murder.
