It took 20 yrs to identify baby Hope. Not one adult in the family picked up the phone. Including her mother. Baby Hopes sister reported her missing. She was a tot herself when her sister disappeared.
Her uncle was arrested for murder and rape.
Baby Hopes name is Angelica.
I was looking at the flow of the river from the bridge at Baytown through the bay to Galveston on Google this morning. It looks as if theres a definite flow of fresh water stained with silt that spews out from the entrance of the bay into the Gulf. It seems to hug the coast for some distance, both west and east of the entrance so it might be possible that this little one went into the water somewhere north east/east of where he was found on the beach. Thats all I can figure out for now. Hopefully, my friend will give us more information about tides and currents in the days leading up to this little ones discovery soon.
That was my thought as well. The fresh water would explain why he didn't sink. I wish we had more details on the cause of death. :-(
Is it possible that he's Native American rather than Hispanic? The police have left his ethnicity a bit vague, so that might be an avenue to research.
LE is distributing flyers to local hotels today.
Also, has LE released any information whether the boy appeared well cared for, etc?
In a press conference when describing him they mentioned he was skinny, and they said it in a way that would lead one to believe that it could stem from malnourishment
So that confirms what a lot of us thought. I was wondering if their estimates were off because my daughter is shorter and the same Weight, and shes not yet 3, but quite thin. I wouldnt quite call her skinny, but shes not his height either.
