Before I log out for the ?Morning? does anyone know what the charges would be for an adult if they were hiding her out or for a child if that is the case?

Could be kidnapping if they are preventing her from leaving, otherwise harboring a minor?

Hmmmm

I wonder who's story continues to change.

Le vehicles where recently (Friday) spotted at the friends... apparently, they are still asking questions. That is good to know. Like Billy said, she was glad they got the dogs...

IMHO - it is good SA moved out of the house. So the focus would change.

I am sorry SA, if you are not involved and you find yourself reading this. I threw you under the bus over and over again.

Saying that sort of reminded me of the last big crime to happen in Colorado City where the husband ran over his wife then backed up over her then ran over her again. Sorry, I'm just ramblin now...

Some questions/thoughts with regard to the second article linked by StrayKat:

1. Does anyone else find it a tad strange that this "witness" just came forward with pertinent information this late in the game? For goodness sake, this is a small town and I can't see how this person wasn't aware of the situation and the importance of vital info being known as soon as possible. So why are they coming forward NOW? :maddening:

2. Same question concerning the two girls supposedly spotted with Haley' would they have not known how important and helpful this information would be to LE and the family? Yet the police are still looking for these two girls, they are not coming forward on their own volition. Why?

3. This Mr. Dean who stated (paraphrasing) that he felt Haley did not wish to be located but that they would find her. The choice of words felt a bit threatening to ME, so how would a 13 yr old feel if she is indeed hiding? Why not state that she is missed and all anyone cares about is making sure she is safe and back home with her family that loves her, that she shouldn't worry about anyone being angry at her and just know that her safety is every one's first concern? His choice of words seemed quite inappropriate, at least to me.

Goodnight all you wonderful websleuthers!! :offtobed:

May tomorrow be the day Haley is reunited with her family and may God watch over all those who hearts are hurting from the disappearance of this precious child! :heartluv:

This thread caused me to dream...man I saw a man and could give a description from this dream that is how real it was but it was only that.

What were the dates when SA referred to BD as "fiance"? Are they from a while back or just since Christmas? Could this be what may have made for a bad situation? HD finding out her Mom was getting married?

During Sunday's news conference, authorities also revealed school administrators have a video of Hailey walking that might be released to the media on Monday.

I would be interested to know the date/time stamp of this video. Is it of the day that she went missing? Or is it an older video that they intend to show for ID purposes?

Oh my gosh. How does Dean's theory of Hailey hiding, fit in with LE telling them that they failed the LDT's, or of Billie saying that they told her that? I can't see how that would fit at all. Didn't some official deny that they told her? Is anybody as confused as I am?

look up polygraph tactics... it explains a lot. I am hoping there will be a break soon.

An itouch SARX.

It would still be nice to know about the GPS feature. Especially since we officially know that Hailey's is LOST. If that GPS app was put on her IPod Touch, then it could be located whether it is with her or not.... either way it would be helpful to the investigation.

Unfortunately, Billie does not have a phone that Hailey would know the number to. That is another thing that is really bothering her.... what if Hailey had just enough time to make one call? Wouldn't you think it would be to Billie? When you call her phone, it goes straight to voice mail.

That makes me physically ill. There have been a few girls Hailey's age who called parents to come get them after they left willingly or were abducted.

I hope that Billie will go down there and ask them to either give her the phone back, or answer any calls that come in. I'm sure she is checking her voicemail a hundred times a day.

I have only seen this post from the verified local.

I have asked for a link to figure out how we got from a "maybe" to a "she lost it" but haven't received one; so as far as I know...we don't know if she lost it or not!

I can't see myself twisting the friend's words to make them into something different, so if she lost it and we know it...I would like to see where it came from.

Take it as you want...but this is the only reference I've seen re: iTouch...

It came from Hailey's Mom.... where would there be a link for that?

We asked Czgtz on here to ask Hailey's mom Billie about it.

So she did.

Billie gave her an answer, which she then posted here.

There is no link for that. :waitasec:

I'm still on the fence about SA. I'm just not getting that feeling about him like I have in past cases with certain suspects. He comes across to me as a still immature 25 year old. Men of that age are more worried about acting like idiots and partying. For the most part, they don't start "growing up" until after 25, and closer to 30 in my experiences. Which is probably why he lost his job for being hot headed. I also think at that age he is wanting to impress Billie, I feel he really loves her (or thinks he does), and was afraid of losing her over it, which is why he hid it originally before things went crazy with Hailey missing. Then it was too late to tell her and add that on top of her stress.

Part of the time I feel bad for the guy, he's in an awkward position if he is innocent. I just hope for Billie's sake that he is not involved with Hailey's disappearance.

I agree with you 100%.

He reminds me a lot of my ex... with that "almost smile" all the time. I can totally see my ex looking just as suspicious in this situation. But he would never hurt a kid. He actually took full custody of his stepdaughter when his wife went off the deep end into drugs...so that the little girl didn't go into foster care.

I've not had a problem imagining other people in other cases committing a crime... but in this one I'm having a hard time thinking that Shawn did anything. Even after seeing all of the websites and everything. Reminds me of Jonathan Foster.... where the stepdad looked like such a good suspect, but it wasn't him. Maybe this is a similar situation?

I hope for Billie's sake that I am right... though I'm not sure if their relationship would make it through this anyway.

That is where the confusion comes in. Hailey went missing on 12/27 the same day SA was let go. BD went on NG 1/3 stating he was coming from work. She went on 1/4 stating he was coming from his mothers. We thought maybe she didn't know he was let go on 12/27 hence her different answers one day apart.

This could be one of those things LE says they have not been truthful about.
I can't see why Billie would have thought that LE wouldn't check out his job, and find out he was fired, but she was distraught at the time. And there is a remote possibility that she did not know he wasn't working... Casey had her family fooled about her "job" for months.

Thanks just wasn't enough! I am with ya on this one. They got NOTHING, not a CLUE. imo

I disagree. I think they have lots of clues, they just don't have the evidence to back them up, and that's why they aren't telling the public everything they know.
I don't believe they would make statements about the key players not being truthful or changing their stories if they had no clue what happened. Even if they believe Hailey is a runaway, there is always the possibility that she could have hooked up with the wrong person and ended up dead.

Locals have these areas been checked for any abandoned buildings, etc in C-City?

1. 800 block of E 2nd Street
2. 100 block of Austin Street
3. 600 block of E 18th Street

And are any of you familiar with the players involved with either the SAS flea markets in C-City or the Knick Knack shop in C-City?

Actually I cannot find an Austin Street in C-City but have found a document referencing this address in C-City.

Just a quick thought that has probally been posted or commented upon.

If LE thinks that Hailey is missing and doesnt WANT to be found, that would mean a runaway of course. I do not see it being a runaway unless somthing major was going on in that home. It seems that Hailey and DB were close enough that BD would know Hailey was perhaps sad or out of sorts.. unless maybe Hailey had issues with SA that she was not revealing to her mother.

Hailey's dad mentioned she could come live with him? He knew somthing perhaps was a little stressful perhaps.

If they REALLY think she is a runaway.. then give some more information on urging any school mates to come foward even on a secret basis... pass out forms at school, ask for no names everyone fill one out put in a secret ballod box to be assured that no one will be named a snitch.. just information that can be given on a basis of no name attached to it. That I really think may reveal SOMTHING.. I mean what can't it hurt.

Who was she talking to that day on the phone... I think that has somthing to do with them thinking she is a run away.

What is the staus on the mother of MB. I have read a few posts that seems to be issue with MB talking to media.. anything to that other than her just not wanting to talk on tv or news?

I am now stuck on the runaway senario. I do not know if they think that is true OR if they are trying to ease the mind and relax the person suspected of foul play to get him or her to slip up and be less on guard. If that is the case that is cruel thing to give DB hope if they think there is no hope, unless they clued her in on the tatic used.

I just hope Hailey comes home safe and unharmed. If harm was done or she is missing with foul play.. I hope this does not turn into a case that no one ever knows for sure and a missing person for years.

I hope a blessed miracle will happen today.
DB I hope she is staying as strong as she can be. My heart aches for her.

Billie said on NG that his name was Matt and he was a polygrapher from Big Spring.

Sorry, just bouncing off your post (cause I'm too lazy to go back a page in order to quote) but this is to whoever stated something about "small town polygrahpers."

Is there any reason to think a polygrapher from Big Spring would not be very professional and aboveboard? They all have to be trained, do they not? And part of that training is in how to read the results. Doesn't seem to me that it would make all that much difference because it's right there on the sheet that the machine prints out while the test is being given, and the machine itself measures the body's responses, not the person asking the questions.

Just saying.
