Can either some locals, or someone that is interested in doing some research, find out where this garbage comes from? We need confirmation that it does in fact come from CCity (and I would rather get official info from the landfill site or somewhere other than media honestly). This could make a difference in where to search.

they switched to a 3rd party.. Still trying to figure out where it's dumped though

She told LE it was for narcotics, I am really confused as to why it matters that she lied to the public as if we have tripped her up.

far as i can tell she wants her friends/family/neighbors/colleagues to think she doesn't do drugs. And that is my worst case scenario on it. Best case is she got gas groceries and a few drugs so it is only half a lie.

Because she can't then turn around and claim she's a "credible witness" when she's lying! Besides, this shouldn't be about HER reputation, it should be about her daughter! How about she tried making a plea to whomever may be holding her? If I believed in even a 1% chance that was the case, that's what I would be doing! imo

sorry, how's this?

UPDATE 4:45 p.m.: An unmarked Hyundai Tucson was escorted into the landfill by Abilene police north of Abilene, where a search has been under way for evidence into the disappearance of Colorado City teenager Hailey Dunn. About a dozen people in white haz-mat suits had been sifting through debris from Colorado City that had been scooped by a yellow track loader

Now that looks ominous. The dozen people are standing around one particular circle of debris, all looking at it and from the picture, it doesn't look any larger than the backhoe/tractor. Why would so many be in a circle?

I can't tell, but is that guy in the middle have a tan colored dog?

Did she say that? Honestly, I withdraw cash every now and then just to have cash. If the affidavit says they bought illegal narcotics, then I'm inclined to believe it, honestly. But just withdrawing cash on its own when you run low isn't that big of a deal to me. KWIM?

I will too if they show me the sworn affidavit from either/or BD/SA. There has been no sworn affidavit in the press from Bd/Sa. The ONLY thing we saw was the affidavit from a CCity peace officer/signed by a judge for search warrants.

Otherwise the release of the PDF is hearsay about BD/SA. JMO.

Sarx or Oriah - Can HRD dogs easily distinguish between human remains in, say, a landfill, as opposed to a dog or cat that may have been disposed of in the landfill?

What if a person died at home, like a hospice patient, and the bedding was thrown in the trash. Would the HRD dogs alert to items such as this?

Of course, this TOTALLY depends on if they are in Colorado City proper. I live in a small town in Texas, but out of the "official" city limits. I pay an independent company to pick up my trash as there is no city service available.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Cadaver Dogs Searching Abilene Landfill For Hailey Dunn

Good. Wonder if they're going by his timeline, because he did have time to get to Abilene, Post, or Midland/Odessa area then a shorter distance back to Big Spring by 9:38. He could have went in any direction where he could get back over to Big Spring from a spot a couple hours away from CC.

So is Clint Dunn also responsible? Because I'm pretty sure his mom told him Hailey was scared of SA. I am also pretty sure living across the street and from a small town he knew about the threats SA made. So is he also responsible or does he get a pass because he had his own life havng another child with his girlfriend and not actually taking care of HD and DD?

We don't know who had official custody or why H wasn't living with her dad. There can be all kinds of things going on, kwim?

"I never through he could hurt me or the kids, but now I just don't know," she said. "If he did hurt my daughter I would be disgusted by that and would never speak to him again and hope he'd get what he deserves."

She'll never speak to him again if her hurt her daughter? Isn't that a little mild. If someone hurt my child I would do more then never speak to them again.

My almost 8 year old daughter also has the extra chromosome. :seeya:

I have always said that the ONLY way I would marry anyone, is if they had a child, sibling or other close relative with Down syndrome as well. There ARE people who adore my child and treat her wonderfully because they have a sibling with Down syndrome. But I wouldn't marry someone that had to "get used to her." Fortunately I don't have to worry about dating... but I did have a plan all ready. :innocent:

It is so important for parents to listen to their kids especially when they are around new people.

Billie is definitely not the first parent to make this mistake and she will not be the last. I just hope by some miracle it hasn't cost Hailey her life. Though I am not optimistic. :(

Maybe it will be a wake up to call to others in the area though?

I have a son with Down Syndrome, he's wonderful!

Well but the problem it seems.......is that it's not just to "us", it's to the LE to. There have been many articles put up telling of how much trouble LE has had with the family. And yes, that includes her. She is a poi, anyone can tell that. I don't even at this point know why we are still debating that she lies.

In Texas there are no coroners.

In Dallas and Fort Worth they are called medical examiners. I know this because I talk to several of them from time time, including the Human Identification Examiner who happens to be a Forensic Odontologist. All the ME are medical doctors that are specialized in their fields. I can't say enough good things about them.

not to be a glass half empty... that is NOT my motto....at all... but I watched them search for Andrew compton for over a week in a landfill that he was known to be in...

--------
not bashing LE in the following
-------

but Sommer Thompson's body was found because LE basically searched that landfill from day 2

the runaway carp has screwed things up and things are delayed... time has passed...

searching all that garbage is going to take time...lots of time... lots of garbage all piled up...

might I add bless those dogs... to have to walk thru all of that on their feet and alert two times... I pray they have found some sort of answer here.

I think the answer is yes, but I want to ask anyway for clarification.

Sarx or Oriah - Can HRD dogs easily distinguish between human remains in, say, a landfill, as opposed to a dog or cat that may have been disposed of in the landfill?

As I said, I assume the answer is yes. Sorry if it is a dumb questionb

Not a dumb question at all. The short answer is yes, they can tell the difference.
The long answer is, only if they have been trained to.
There are way too many cases where it comes out later that the dog hit on a dead cat, or a tampon, or a band aid. This is bad training and honestly renders the dog almost worthless in my opinion.

Also remember, these dogs (a properly trained one) are going to hit on not just bodies, and bones, but trace evidence that the human eye won't even see. It can be transfer onto a piece of clothing, a car seat, droplets that fell onto a shoe, it encompasses so much. So while this could have to do with Hailey, it could be something discarded from a home where someone died of old age.
