Law enforcement officials said at least one person is behind bars in connection with the death of Heidi Broussard, a mother who vanished from Austin with her 3-week-old baby on December 12.
The suspect reportedly said she, too, was pregnant while Heidi was pregnant with her infant daughter, Margo. The woman reportedly carried out the scheme for nine months and had been plotting to take Heidi’s baby away from her.
Authorities found Margo alive inside a Houston home on Thursday night. She was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Heidi was found deceased at the location.
A car found at the home is registered to Magen Rose Fieramusca. She is currently in custody at the Harris County Jail facing kidnapping and tampering charges. Her bond has been set at $60,000 for now, but upgraded charges are expected.
Meanwhile, authorities also confirmed that they have no reason to believe that Heidi’s fiance, Shane Carey, had anything to do with her abduction or death.

The Harris County District Clerk website shows that Magen Rose Fieramusca is being held in jail on three holds placed by the Austin Police Department, two kidnapping offenses and one tampering with evidence, a human corpse.
Fieramusca appeared in court Friday afternoon for multiple previous charges related to six traffic tickets from April 2018 including expired registration, no driver's license on demand, driving while license invalid, failure to report change of address or name, expired driver's license and no car insurance.
She pled no contest to all six tickets and was found guilty. She was fined $50 each for four of her outstanding tickets and $175 for the remaining two.

Broussard's car is still parked outside the apt complex. It has a sticker for her 6 year old son, and a shopping list inside includes socks and a stocking for her infant daughter Margot and shirts for her son Margot was found alive, according to police.

Taylor Riordan one of her neighbors said their kids played together, and he was friendly with both Broussard and her fiance Shane Carey. He said the family was as "regular as you can get." and happy together. He called the entire situation "tragic."

None of the law enforcement officials at the presser is identifying the person who has been arrested in connection to Heidi Broussard's death. Of course by now we all know it's Broussard's friend, Magen Fieramusca.

Suspect in Austin mom disappearance sounded "so convincing" just days before arrest
Tim Miller of EquuSearch spoke with the suspect in the disappearance of Austin mom Heidi Broussard just before she was arrested and said he was shocked at the turn of events.

Miller said Fieramusca sounded genuine saying, "I can't believe how sincere she sounded. So then, we got the news yesterday, I was just scratching my head."

• Officials said Fieramusca is thought to be a close friend of Broussard’s and had pretended to be pregnant at the same time as Broussard, plotting to take her friend’s daughter since before the girl was born.
