Can we 100% rely on automatic rule-outs via DNA on NamUs? Only I am finding some girls who look good, but their DNA is submitted.

Take this one for example - https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/8136/16/

She would just sneak over the top upper age limit of 23, but she has a short stature, grew up in a location that would be consistent with the isotope test thingy and I really think she has the 'Smurfette look'.

We could also post Miss Simper Fi, I can't believe she is still nameless.

Good idea, but one at a time :) I haven't done this before.

Should we make up a poster like for a missing person?

Her DNA has already been compared in namus, so she is automatically ruled out. Missing's persons that have DNA available will say "sample submitted - tests complete" however the ones that say " sample submitted - tests not complete" could be a possible match. Hope that helps :)

Can a match ever be missed do you think? Is there any chance that a girl whose DNA is listed as tests complete, could not be flagged up automatically as a match, even if she is a match.

I have been reading a bit about different types of DNA, and depending on who gave the sample, it got me wondering if 'false negatives' were possible?

The tests are run every two weeks, so unidentified DNA is run against all missing persons DNA once every two weeks, if there were a match Dr. Derrick would have caught it.

This is Abigail Estrada. She disappeared in 2007 at the age of 13 from an area of TX a little farther south of San Antonio. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/e/estrada_abigail.html

There is fairly recent news on her disappearance and it seems most likely circumstances don't fit. But in this day & age, I wanted to post her here anyway since I don't think she's on our discussed list.

Wow I've been gone most of the weekend, finally I can rest. What a good picture Houstonmom!! It does make her look older, but more realistic imo. I'm going to keep on looking!!!

I think Lexus can be ruled out. Found her sisters facebook page,

April 14, 2013

"This is my sister lexus. she had a visit with us yesterday and she decide to run from the the lady she came with at tops on lake ave. If you see her call the police or contact us. please and thank you we are scared we already lost alot of our love ones. we just dont wanna lose anymore."

Saying a prayer that lexus may in fact be safe, and another prayer for smurfette, may we find your name soon!

Unfortunately they have decided not to do the approximation of smurfettes side profile, if anyone was still wondering.

Hoping someone else can come up with a PM. I am stuck, keep running into the same stories I've read a million times already!

Anyone working on the FB for smurfette??

Who are you smurfette??
