Interesting observations by you wonderful Sleuthers above...

Jenna DOES present as a female quite a few years younger than her chronological age...

and there is a "blankness" when there is no make-up, etc. on her face...

This is either sad... Or scary... Or both... :(

Have we heard anything from the parents of either Jenna or Jeff?

I get the impression that Jenna doesn't have many role models around for her to emulate...

That could be because the family is dispersed...

or... A choice on her part...

Or a choice on family members' parts...

Or I could just be way off the mark...

all JMO

And the CID guys my husband works with are for the entire region and someone affiliated with the military has to at least look into it (I'm assuming) and escort them back to Bliss. At least I think that's how it works. And his CoC had to have been familiar with all this. Even just talking to mys husband he says that if his chain of command was clueless, then someone at the Muni PD or CPS dropped the ball somewhere. :-(

I believe it was dropped at the PD or CPS level and they just didn't communicate with CID or something. If CID is exactly like OSI (which is the FBI but for the Army/AF etc.) then I just can't see this slipping by them.

I know the PD caught her once but was it the PD or CPS or both that caught her the other 4-5 times? I see the lack of communication being more from CPS to mil than PD to mil but that is just my opinion. Maybe it is just a jurisdiction thing too, I don't know. I am going to ask my husband some questions tonight (not that it will help but it has just been bugging me).

I have never seen somebody with so much interest in taking self pics and posting them. I've only seen teens do this, and certainly not a woman with two kids. It looks there's not much behind the makeup. Kind of a blank look.

There's a foul mouth behind all that makeup. I watched the videos :/

I posted a link late last night about the parents being in custody....was this incorrect?

Can anyone familiar with military life explain AWOL, dishonorable discharge and Court Martial(is that correct?) to this civilian?

Does the military take over the investigation in Jeff's case?

AWOL = Absent Without Leave...he didn't return when he was supposed to and didn't have permission to be gone.

Dishonorable Discharge = The worst kind of discharge a soldier can get. Having a DD renders a soldier ineligible for ANY and ALL veteran's benefits. It also wreaks havoc on employment.

Court Martial would be the procedure and ultimate punishment (handed out by the military) and usually accompanied by brig time AND a Dishonorable Discharge.

The reason I believe the military has the upper hand here...well, right now, Dad is only under the thumb of the military. While a Dishonorable Discharge sucks, it's nowhere near as bad as a court martial. The military could bargain with Dad and offer to kick him out of the military with a DD and a no return RE (re-enlistment code) in exchange for info on Baby Jackson. His alternative for not cooperating could be court martial in which he'd face brig time.

I've seen a couple references to them possibly having an 'open' relationship or being poly, and I have to say that I doubt that is the case here. Of course, it's entirely possible, but heres my take as someone who happens to be poly/open.

We(hubby and I, as well as everyone else I've met so far) take very clear and strong lines to indicate our relationship status. POF does not allow for those in our types of relationships to be open about it, so OKC does tend to have(in my experience) more honesty than many dating sites.

Not only is my status set to "married"(there are other options as single, available<-- usually means married/dating but open, seeing someone, etc.) but my first line of my profile indicates my marital status WITH a link to my spouses profile. As well as numerous references(and even photos of the two of us together)

Now, I happen to truly be on there for friends, it's nice to find other people in our... 'situation' to talk to. My boyfriends wife is on there for dating however, as is my husband. Their, and every profile of anyone I've met indicates their clear married/dating status, and often an explanation of exactly what they are looking for. emotional/sexual relationship, just sexual,etc.etc.

Being poly/open successfully is all about honest communication, between ALL participants. And I do mean all. I spend a lot of time with my boyfriends wife, we have become quite close and discuss everything from our breakfast routines, to what we like in bed, to issues with scheduling amongst ourselves. I may not be in a relationship with her, but for all intents and purposes I am.

WOW I ramble way too much.

Now of course, these people could be doing it... 'badly'. and he could have just given her permission, or any number of other things. I also think he could easily be just as guilty as her, simply because she is 'out there' more doesn't mean a lot, imo, yet.

ETA: for clarification purposes, boyfriend is a bad choice of terminology, but that's kind of irrelevant to the discussion at hand! LOL It's the easiest explanation I have for what he is though.

Thanks MaliaMansly, you just answered the question I was about to ask.

CID is the equivalent to OSI. And depending on the locale, everyone communicates well. My husband (as a Police Officer for the Fed Government) keeps up with their CID guys when it involves one of his cases. Otherwise they talk but he doesn't bug them about investigations. It seemed to be the same when he was a Police Officer on an AF Base which was 3 years ago. The local. PD's in both places we've been have always been pretty good at communicating with the base police on incidents involving anyone military that they may come in contact with regardless of status, branch, or station. And typically when my husband or any of the other officers get calls from the local PD's, they are usually the ones who get in touch with the chain of command to inform them on what's going on and to speak with command in the next course of action.

So communication does occur. My husband has been working as a Federal LE for a bit over 5 years now and prior to that, he worked about 10 years in Civilian law enforcement so he's been on both sides. And we do know that in some military communities, the local civilian police look down on their military counterparts (civilian police for the military not MP's). Both places my husband has worked there has been a mutual respect from both sides but we have heard horror stories from other bases in other parts of the country so it's very possible that El Paso/Ft. Bliss is one of those communities where the communication is lacking. It may also be a base with lots of Military Police vs Civilian military Police and since MP's are restricted on what they can and cannot do regarding law enforcement roles, the local PD might now want to "waste" their time dealing with them since the Rules of the MP can be very different. My husbands base does not have ANY military police. They are all Federal LEO's so the local law enforcement treats them as equals since the rules they follow are pretty much the same.

Sorry for the long winded post. There are so many variables that can effect where and how this fell thru the cracks on both sides. It's heartbreaking. I keep checking for updates. I just can't understand how a mom can be so indifferent to her children.
