OK so an acquaintance of the step father. Motive guys? What would it be? You don't just go around kidnapping children and burning their bodies without a reason.

To get even with Jonathan's mother for throwing the step-father out! Or because the step-father wasn't happy that Jonathan moved in with them.

I wonder if the friend taken in for questioning has any kids? Still perplexed on the shoe thing.

The babysitter. LE statements are based on what mom told them I'm sure. And there would be no reason to run home to get a video game if Jonathan was already home since there was no babysitting that day. I haven't heard about the shoes since first reported. I'm sure they are still missing if Jonathan was wearing them when he was kidnapped.

I'm only saying he may have taken them by accident, if the SD put something in a used prescprition bottle or the schools prescriotion bottle maybe...... schools almost always send meds home over the holiday break because parents will need those extra since the kids are at home all day..instead of morning or noon at school (most adhd meds are active for 3-4 hours not sure about concerta, so kids need to halve another dose at noon).

our concerta is all day time release....he takes it in the morning. then a smaller dose of ritilyn in the evening if he needs it to focus for something like homework or sports

Really? Because several years ago, my neighbors 3 houses down were arrested for cooking meth in their house (and I live in a NICE neighborhood -- trust me, meth is everywhere...) No white-suited hazmat men ever seen... just a bunch of sheriff deputies carrying things out in paper bags....

We had a meth house just down the street about a year ago and they sent in a meth cleaning crew. I guess it depends on the state and the procedures they have in place.

And this doesn't happen in a 30 minute window.

Can you think of a single good reason to kidnap & murder a 12 and burn him up, then dump him like garabge? I can't.

Don't look for this crime to make sense. It isn't going to. Whoever did this is BEYOND twisted. imo

I agree the motive isnt going to make sense. Most normal people with hearts and souls would never be able to do this.My thoughts and prayers are with this little guy and the one's who loved him.

30 minute window is plenty of time to remove him from his house. Doesn't necessarily mean what happened to him happened at his house.

it was our last option thru the pediatrition. She said if it didn't work we would have to take him to a psychiatrist ....anyways, it's been a couple of years now and it works great

One concerta in the morning lasts my son right through homework.

You have to wonder about a child who was safe in November a few short weeks later is now dead and burned beyond recognition. If the person we saw being escorted out of the house is the one who has been charged MY GOD she looked like she was going to a joy ride. Not like she was being arrested for a capital murder.

What have we come to? Is it just that easy to do these horrible things and shuffle yourself into the car looking like you don't have a care in the world?

I have a feeling these will be more shocking twists to this terrible story unfolding. This poor child.

no, no. i agree there. but then you have the burning of the body, if it is his. and all this doesn't take place in 30 minutes.
