Tearing up the floors is not a good sign - http://www.woai.com/news/local/stor...ts-home-in-search/AeyQVA2MWUOBLEwjoBzTjg.cspx.

Police officials also reiterated that they have checked extensively into other options, like abduction, even going so far as to check-in with sex offenders in the immediate area, all with no indication that the boy was abducted, which is why an Amber Alert has not been issued.
Police officials continue believe this is simply a tragic case of a very mobile toddler wandering out into the night and getting lost.
They also utilized some new tools, like ATV's for ground searches, and an aerial drone to search from the sky.
They also began looking at one large piece of property that they had not yet searched because the property owner wanted to be present.
Other searchers concentrated on other areas that may not have been searched as thoroughly, including dive teams being called in to search several ponds and stock tanks in that area.

Going so far?! Like they went the extra mile by doing that?! That is their JOB.
When someone goes missing you look at family, you look at friends, you look at known offenders.
Did they "go so far" as to question the last person to see Joshua? Did they "go so far" as to polygraph that person?
Did they "go so far" as to polygraph anyone else?
When my daughter went missing at 3 years old I KNEW she had wandered off. But that didn't mean someone hadn't picked her up after. Somer Thompson, Adam Walsh...what were the odds that after pouting or getting in trouble a perp would just happen upon them?
I wonder if they do NOT find him out there, what they are going to do then?
we're all waiting to hear good news about a miracle little Joshua has been found & now we're hearing about LDTs & tearing out floors.
Maybe they're just removing the skirting, not floors since it says the 'base'...still don't understand why that wasn't done day 1.
ETA: and hopefully they'll look under all the neighbors' mobile homes too.
Mobile homes shouldn't be hard to search under. And wasn't this done already?

In looking for info on mobile homes, found the above. Did not know the skirting is sometimes permanently installed and under a mh can be plumbing and electrical.
Also, remember reading early on somewhere that Josh,jr. has asthma. Does anyone else remember? MHs and asthma aren't a good mix.
would these be tracking dogs? ((blood hounds from TDCJ))
Yes, the bloodhounds were likely DOJ dogs, they would be trailing/tracking dogs and going off of other TX cases, they are prison dogs and are not trained in SAR work, but in catching escaped convicts and have likely never trained on a baby (which actually can make a difference). I just wish these depts. would understand that dogs are not created equal, nor are they trained equally. You gonna take that cute little golden retriever trained for FEMA out to apprehend a suspect? Not likely, get my drift?
On researching about MHs, there appears to be an issue with mold underneath. Would mold effect SAR dogs?
