Read they Bullard has a fair starting this week. Is it a large thing that brings people into the area early? Long shot perhaps.
Being dark outside, someone would have to be awful bold to walk into a church they were unfamiliar with that had cars in the parking lot, if it were a stranger. How would they know a young girl would be alone in the lobby? If it turns out not to be someone who knew Kayla or her family from the church, I'll be shocked.
more questions, what time does the prayer group usually finish? Could someone have been there to pick up another parishioner to take them home?
ETA, I didn't realize how close the restaurant was to the church.,,thanks Skib. Now I think it could be anyone.

I'm not local and I want know more about "The Fair" you mentioned.

Does anyone know if it is a travelling fair (for example James E Strate Show, etc)? Does anyone know when it will start? When are/were setting up the rides? Are there railroad tracks nearby?

Thank you pp. The restaurant is literally within walking distance. The field being searched is in between the Church and the restaurant. I don't think the supposed robbery at the restaurant and Kayla going missing is coincidental. What time does that restaurant close on Tuesday?

Kayla went missing around 7:30 pm correct?

Very strange disappearance. I could come up with 20 different scenarios and every one of them could prove wrong.

My initial instinct was that this was probably a teenaged boy or young adult male who either knew she was going to be at the church, or was himself there and in the process of leaving when he came across her. I take it there were no cameras available. It appears this person was old enough and wise enough to realize that all the adults were distracted and coaching her to go outside wasn't a very hard thing to do. Any young males aged 14-25 are going to be instant targets until LR clears them.

They may also consider if this could be a female-on-female abduction prompted by jealousy or anger. Searching all of the open fields around there should definitely be at the top of the list. This may prove to be a couple of young kids who simply took a walk together to some hangout.

Normally I would be satisfied with a quick air and ground search by LE, but after what just transpired with Lindsey Piccone, I'm pretty jaded.

Whoever is behind this, they are either a regular of the church or they knew she was going to be there.

Kayla goes missing Tuesday night, and the restaurant next door is robbed the next day. I am trying to find out more details about the robbery, such as what time it occurred.

Is it possible that the robbery also occurred on Tuesday night but was just now reported?

BULLARD, TX (KLTV) - A Bullard business near the location of a multi-agency search for a missing East Texas girl was burglarized Wednesday night.

Angel Reyes, owner of Taco El Conquistador restaurant, said Thursday that someone lifted the front door so the alarms wouldn't go off. The person stole about $150 in change.

The burglary occurred near the First Assembly Church in Bullard, on U.S. Highway 69, where 10-year-old Kayla Gomez-Orozco went missing Tuesday night during a prayer service.

Officials have not said the two incidents are connected.

My thoughts exactly. It was someone she had no reason to distrust. It was someone who could easily lure her outside by asking for help or offering her something she wanted.

So could it be someone associated with the church and the restaurant? I just find the robbery to be too coincidental, that said, I'm often wrong.
