I think we should be looking at Tuscon area high school yearbooks. She does have notes about Tucson on her notes page.

I tought way way back on the thread someone went thru all of them , it might have been carlk?

I think these links show a good reason why a young (no pun intended) girl might flee and no longer want to be associated with her family or past. Especially if she no longer has family. "Princess" from what I can get from some articles was last known by someone involved to be in Nevada where the FBI kept an eye on her for awhile. The family had been apparently living in Tuscon, Arizona prior to the attack. A people search for Princess Y. finds some near the same age in pertinent States. This girl also seems to be the right age. I just don't know what happened to her after that. I wonder if Snelling could follow up with the FBI On this one or someone could follow up with witnesses by showing young FLEKs pic to them.

Those links are interesting and when I did a people search it returned two people named PY residing in Idaho and Arizona and both aged 48, so it seems whoever she is, she is likely alive and well and not this UID.

I have the feeling this woman was in a group home or foster care and was released when she turned 18 and just decided to start over fresh. It's just a hunch I have, but that would explain why no one seems to be searching for her. Another thought is that she was from such an abusive home that when she ran away no one reported her missing. Perhaps they lived in a secluded rural area, or she was sheltered, or she could even be from Canada.

I also believe she suffered from severe abuse when she was younger. There are several things that hint at this. She did not want to speak about her family or her past. She did not want her inlaws to be alone with the baby because she must have had serious trust issues, especially with family members. She killed herself on Christmas eve in the driveway of her inlaws. Christmas is all about family which is something she obviously could not cope with due to the demons in her past and her lingering memories of abuse.

Just my opinion. Very interesting case indeed!

any one else think that pictures of Ann Marie Burr look very much what FLEK must have looked like as a child?

hi everyone , been following her for some time, one thing always puzzles me .

yes LEK committed suicide, but thats all the info we have on her?
how did she kill herself? hanging? overdose? what were the circumstances?
i just feel like it would help

She shot herself in her car outside her in laws house.

owch! in the head i presume, poor girl .
as many have said , she must have had a reason to steal a dead childs identity, but why!

many thanks scrambledeggs, is there anything else about her death?

Please go back and read the old posts :). This thread is for new discussions and it gets confusing to rehash old info :)

It's general discussion. Some of us don't have time to go back and read it all. Cliff notes for cases would be awesome, lol!

Like in a lot of threads, the first few posts in this one have lists of information and links to the news stories that contain all of the known facts in this case.

So we do have Cliffs Notes!

Think of it like this.. If every new person that comes to this thread asked all the questions over and over each time, this thread would no longer be read by the people who have been working on it for years.. It's just courteous to go get generalized with the case. You might pick up something in the old threads that rings a bell to you and you could solve the case!

Just my opinion here but I think you may be on to something here. I remember seeing that she was religious, perhaps she originally was raised as a devout religious person and entered into foster care because of extreme abuse and left at 18 and started new?

looking up the email she used on her resume was a really really good idea!

I think the email address was shared with her husband, and, from a very cursory google, it doesn't seem to bring up much?

it might be her , I have a friend that died in 1994 but when you do a people search it shows her in Odessa in 2014 and i know its her we have the same name which is really uncommon , it shows the correct age she would be now too

Damn, Im only new to the case and thought the email would bring up something, but i didnt realise she was already with her husband when she had it. damn. This case is so strange!

Also just wondering, I have read so many pages on this but havent seen much mention of that reference she had from what looks like Thailand saying she worked with them from highschool til 1988
What was that about? She had to have had some connection to that place if she had a letter head. What if someone checked out her reference, even if the time zone is 13 hours difference and everything, they could have just got a phone number for that hotel somehow and rang just to check if there was a Roger Stienbeck. Would she really risk that enough to be questioned. And then why after all these years keep it locked away in your lockbox.
Maybe there was a Lori Kennedy in her past. Surely someone had asked her what she did in Thailand and why she went to highschool there. Im sure her husband asked her about her highschool years, and even if she constantly blew him off why have a reference to Thailand on your resume, if its right there to see it would be odd to get defensive about answering questions regarding being there. I think she had been going by the name Lori Kennedy even before the Becky Sue name. she could have just done that on the sly and quickly changed it to Lori when people got suspicious of her not having documents

You'd have to read the Reference and Resume thread. The reference letter doesn't indicate that she went to school in Thailand. It's overall a poorly written letter and I think it may have been designed to be ambiguous.

Still trying to figure out the connection with the signature on the letter (obviously it was not signed by a Roger Stienbeck).

Food for thought... What if the name JENNIFER PERKINS was an alias used by FLEK when she first came to dallas? ( hence 214 next to name )

Have you noticed that there is absolutely no more information on this case at all? If the family truly were wondering who she was and truly wanted to know, I'd think they'd know something by now. My grandpa had a wife and two kids and then another wife and two kids and left all of them and came over to the West Coast and started over. He never, ever mentioned that family except that my mom heard one time that she had a sister. My grandpa died in 1980. My mom found all of her relatives and found the entire family tree on that side and on my grandma's side. So if the family truly wanted to know, they'd know.

I'm with those who think the "suicide" is fishy. Why would a mother who was that fearful of her in-laws having her daughter full time have left her daughter in their care permanently? I think the fact that there is absolutely no more information as well as the fishy "suicide story" tells me that the family doesn't really want to know or they do know and aren't telling.
