Have you noticed that there is absolutely no more information on this case at all? If the family truly were wondering who she was and truly wanted to know, I'd think they'd know something by now. My grandpa had a wife and two kids and then another wife and two kids and left all of them and came over to the West Coast and started over. He never, ever mentioned that family except that my mom heard one time that she had a sister. My grandpa died in 1980. My mom found all of her relatives and found the entire family tree on that side and on my grandma's side. So if the family truly wanted to know, they'd know.

I'm with those who think the "suicide" is fishy. Why would a mother who was that fearful of her in-laws having her daughter full time have left her daughter in their care permanently? I think the fact that there is absolutely no more information as well as the fishy "suicide story" tells me that the family doesn't really want to know or they do know and aren't telling.

There's an article that I linked in a different post. Although the husband is the main source- I believe it gives a good look at how FLEK was those last months. After reading that, the suicide makes sense to me. Leads me to believe that perhaps FLEK escaped something bad- and perhaps would not have been ever filed as missing.

Sorry, using the app and it messed up. Here is what I meant to post.

Just FYI this was posted on the LEK Facebook page from a lady that works in the collections department in a small town in Texas. She thinks someone has stolen or is using LER's identity. No idea if it's legit or not.

I read the post on the FB page and evidently someone stole checks from a company in Texas and signed LER's name to the check and used a drivers license that had LER's picture and license number on it. The check was returned and when they ran a check on the DL# it came back as LER and being deceased. They rented tractors valued at $30,000.00 each. It also says when the merchant was shown printed pictures of LER they said the person resembled LER a lot. The local law enforcement is investigating this. Very strange, but I suppose with all the articles showing the picture of LER's DL someone copied it and stole her identity. How ironic.

Do you mean the Who Was Lori Erica Ruff page? I don't see the comment on that page.

I just reaf that too ,this is too weird did the ever return the trailers?

According to the FB post, the tractors are still missing. Beeville Texas (where the stolen check was returned) is like 6 hours from Longview Texas. The post also says that the business where the tractor was rented is 3 hours from Beeville. Very strange and I'm sure those tractors are hard to hide.

I hope it wasn't ancestry because they changed all their DNA test processes. Its still possible to find relatives but I think the test has to be redone. Not sure though.

I just found a FB page for LR in Leonard Texas. It looks like it was just set up in September of 2014. How strange for it to be a person of the same name in the same town where LR lived. There are no posts and no friends to show and only a photo with 2 likes. I checked out the likes and one person is from Leonard Texas and lives elsewhere and one is from another country. I'm sure the FB page is a hoax or a set up or something to that effect, but why??? How odd.

Im not sure if this has been suggested or if it even would work timeline-wise but i was just over reading the thread on Rose Cole and thought she looked simillar or a younger version of Lori. Has that already been mentioned and I am just slow to the party lol?

Nevermind I just answered my own question by seeing that she is listed under the submitted category. Guess someone beat me to it. Was she ruled out?

Unless we believe that she actually lived in boulder city NV and Boise ID in 1988, then she prob drove to those places. Also how did she get to TX? Did she drive there? Most people drive. So I'm wondering about the Honda corp. financed car that was named in the bankruptcy in 1997. If she purchased it with a trade in, then is there any way, through DMV records or whatever, to find out the previous owner of that trade in? Who was it registered to? because that would have had to have been her previous identity before she was Becky Sue. (Assuming she used the car to drive to the PO box in boulder city that she used as an address when getting the fake Becky Sue ID.) In fact, in order to trade it in for the new Honda, she probably had to pretend to sell it first to her new identity or do a title transfer of pink slip or something through the DMV from her old (real) identity to her fake new one (Lori). But maybe there was no other car. Maybe she rode buses and public transportation everywhere? How can we find this out? Who has access to old TX Dept of Motor Vehicle records? The only other possibility I see (to her owning a car under her real ID or taking public transport everywhere) is that there was someone else involved who's car she drove. Most likely a boyfriend. And I have suspected that all along. Isn't there always a man involved? Especially when there is a boob job.

I lived in Dallas the same time as Lori. Especially at that time, it would have been near impossible to get around without a car. They have begun a public transit system since then, but it would still be very difficult.

Assuming everything was legal and above board? The car(s) could have been cash purchased privately and no paperwork involved?
