Have you noticed that there is absolutely no more information on this case at all? If the family truly were wondering who she was and truly wanted to know, I'd think they'd know something by now. My grandpa had a wife and two kids and then another wife and two kids and left all of them and came over to the West Coast and started over. He never, ever mentioned that family except that my mom heard one time that she had a sister. My grandpa died in 1980. My mom found all of her relatives and found the entire family tree on that side and on my grandma's side. So if the family truly wanted to know, they'd know.
I'm with those who think the "suicide" is fishy. Why would a mother who was that fearful of her in-laws having her daughter full time have left her daughter in their care permanently? I think the fact that there is absolutely no more information as well as the fishy "suicide story" tells me that the family doesn't really want to know or they do know and aren't telling.
There's an article that I linked in a different post. Although the husband is the main source- I believe it gives a good look at how FLEK was those last months. After reading that, the suicide makes sense to me. Leads me to believe that perhaps FLEK escaped something bad- and perhaps would not have been ever filed as missing.
