The guy who is with them is a sex offender that failed to register - has a lifetime obligation - in neither New Jersey, New York, nor Connecticut. He was from Morristown, NJ and was arrested in Connecticut in 2014. He was facing up to 10 years in Federal Prison for failing to register. He got 27 months instead in 2015.

In Jan. 2006, he was convicted in Suffolk County, N.Y. of three counts of third-degree rape, two counts of third-degree criminal sexual acts and two counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor.
Joy was arrested in Juarez, Mexico in Feb. 2005 after he took a 16-year-old girl from her Hampton Bays home and drove her to the Mexican border town, according to
the NY Daily News. Joy and SC reportedly had an ongoing relationship before fleeing south of the U.S. border, but she later escaped from him and fled across the border to El Paso, Texas where she notified her mother, according to reports by the NY Daily News and
the New York Post.
