I am in the area of the family’s apartments right now. Unfortunately, there are plenty of grassy fields and bayou areas very close to the apartments.
I have taken pictures of the areas surrounding the apartments. Am I allowed to post these?
Thank you! You might need to be verified in order to post the pics. Please check with a mod.

Trying to copy my post. Hope the link works.

Report from HLN gives a few more details on Maleah’s head injury last year. Apparently she fell and hit her head on a table. When she was in the hospital they found signs of old injuries that may have indicated prior abuse. Not much more new info in the video. Link: Nick Valencia

You are my hero this morning! THANK YOU!

So, according to this report it was a family friend that gave this information. I assume the source was verified, but that info cannot necessarily be verified.

Alligators being wrangled in Houston. This happens more often than anyone would like to admit in heavy rains like yesterday and Harvey.... This is in Clear Lake, which is across town, but I have seen these things in the bayous of Houston MANY times. IF she was placed somewhere in a bayou or field, this is the absolute worst possible scenario we could ask for.

Or she believes the worst about her daughter and can’t talk to the press....:(

For probably the first time ever, I really believe this mother has no idea where her daughter. She is speaking the way we would expe t a scared mom to speak. She uses present tense and is worried about what Maleah might be going thru. She passes my initial sniff test. Stepfather? Not so much.

Thank you. :)

At roughly the 1 minute mark:
"A source close to the family tells me the story about Child Protective Services and how they got involved. Maleah took a fall late last year and she hit her head on the edge of a table. According to this family source, that injury required two brain surgeries and it was sometime during that treatment it was discovered that she had potential signs of prior abuse - physical abuse, prior trauma - that led to the CPS investigation. Those children were ultimately taken away from the home..."

I can't figure out how bio-dad and mom were targeted as the abusers if DV was living with mom and the kids when MD had her brain injury. I'm sure CPS would have investigated DV if he was living with mom. I'm confused by this.

This has been eating at my brain as well!

BREAKING- Darion Vence, the step-father of missing 4-year-old #MaleahDavis changed his story “multiple times” during his interview with the Sugar Land Police Department. “His story did not add up.”: Police

Raise your hand if this surprises you. It looks like LE is through coddling DV. Hopefully he'll soon disclose where he put Maleah. MOO as I believe he harmed her.

Bowens on Tuesday disputed allegations that her daughter was physically abused at their home, and gave this account of the injury:

Bowens said she took her daughter to West Houston Medical Center last July because she was lethargic, but nurses didn't examine her head.

Weeks later, on July 28, Maleah fell while she was sitting at the table eating by herself, Bowens said.

"When she falls, she came around that couch, she had a deep gash in her head and it freaked me out," said Bowens, who again rushed her daughter to West Houston. Doctors discharged Maleah without performing a CT scan, Bowens said.

Five days later, in early August, Maleah suffered a seizure, Bowens said, sobbing. Maleah was taken to a children's hospital.

"They did a CT scan and that's when they told me there was bleeding on the left-hand side of her brain," she said. "At that point it was a life or death situation."

MOO, if the investigation arose out of "prior" abuse evidence like the Nick Valencia video states, they probably did not have any proof that DV was involved in prior issues depending on the determined timing of those prior injuries.

It could happen when my daughter was 3 she was turning around on a swivel chair she fell hit her forehead on corner of a cabinet she got 7 stitches and a few nights in hospital . I can’t fault the mom on this .

The issue is the evidence of previous abuse. I understand accidents happen. When my daughter was 2 she was holding hands with my older daughter and skipping around in a circle when she tripped over a sippy cup and broke her foot. I remember one woman looking at my daughter's pink cast and glaring at me as though I broke her foot. But the difference is no one would have found evidence of previous or current abuse during my daughter's exam.
