Its all over the main news channels online and FB has multiple stories in their news feed and getting a lot of activity in the past two or three hours.

My hubby first heard about it this afternoon on Fox News.

IMO

Walmart on Franklin is closed for this evening per live feed on WFAA. ( wow )

OT but is anyone else a big Twin Peaks, the show, fan and every time you hear it , your heart gets a little sigh ????? :)

This is a major news story because of the number of fatalities and the perps are members of known violent crime organizations. I do not remember this many deaths in recent times in the US in a single biker incident. I remember 3 dying in Reno several years ago, and THAT made headlines. This is serious. I am grateful the police were right there.

I'm really surprised. I always thought the violent reputation of bikers was kind of exaggerated. I've known a few and they were regular folks and I don't recall really ever hearing anything about them other than sort of petty stuff, drugs, bar fights, what not. I had no idea this kind of thing actually happened. Naivety rocks/sucks.

You have regular bikers and biker gangs. I know a ton of regular bikers. I know zero biker gang members. Not all bikers are criminal gang members. However, I will admit my naivety because I thought biker gangs only existed on SOA or back in the day. I had no idea there were still criminal biker gangs.

So many bikers do good deeds. This is scary.

I will say all the HA's I met in Canada were super nice, but make no mistake about it, the criminal activity was there. Top secret hush-hush meetings at a clubhouse way out of town. People guarding the entrance of the wedding. It was a strange dichotomy between the fun loving party guys with their families and the vests and scars they had.

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, maybe memorial day. I wish they had easier names to pronounce like habanero or sphincter. The tweets are rough, lots of race baiting.

So sorry, but LMAO at sphincter!!

Something strange about this whole thing. Swat team was there. 9 people killed. Why no arrests?

Also per link above, reporter saw at least a dozen people zip tied and being led to a building downtown.

Told my hubby that I would bet money on bandidos being involved! My ex had a cousin who was in Hells Angels and I was SHOCKED by how much stuff still goes on in the biker gang world. HA and bandidos have a lot of bad blood. Since he was Canadian he couldn't even fly into the U.S., I was nervous when we went to his wedding somehow I was going to be flagged and not allowed back in. At their wedding, there were tons of hells angels, and at their gift opening, they ended up with a huge stack of cash.

A great book on motorcycle gangs is Hell's Angels: Into the Abyss - former FBI agent infiltrated the gang. I was absolutely shocked to learn about this; I thought motorcycle gangs were just old hippies. Not so, of course.

Yep -- Watched every show -- a little slice of life tilted at a 65 degree angle.

Wow, so thankful LE knew of the brewhaha before it happened. No telling how many lives were saved.

I'm just still shocked that this happened at such a public place. While I've never been to Twin Peaks myself, it's still a franchised restaurant, and I would expect this type of violence to happen at a random no name bar.

There's still a lot to this story. Does this kind of gang violence happen in places? Not just MC gangs, but gangs in general. I've personally not heard of such violence in this scenario before.
