VANESSA GUILLEN KILLED WITH HAMMER AND HER BODY MUTILATED, AFFIDAVIT SAYS

A second suspect has been identified in the case of missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen.

Cecily Aguilar was identified as the civilian suspect in connection with the disappearance of Guillen. The Bell County Sheriff's Office told 6 News she will be handed over to the U.S. Marshals Service. Aguilar has been charged with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Western District of Texas.
The suspect was identified as Cecily Aguilar, who has been charged with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence after Aaron Robinson killed Guillen.

According to the complaint, Specialist Aaron Robinson told Aguilar that he killed Guillen by striking her in the head with a hammer multiple times on Fort Hood on April 22. Two witnesses, interviewed May 18, said they saw Robinson pulling a large "tough box" with wheels, that appeared heavy, coming out of the arms room where Robinson worked. The two witnesses said they saw Robinson load the box into his vehicle and drive away, according to the affidavit.

Robinson enlisted the help of Aguilar in disposing of the body, which included mutilating the body and attempting to burn the body. However, when the body did not burn completely, they placed the remain in three separate holes and covered up the remains.

Upon conviction, Aguilar faces up to 20 years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.

Vanessa Guillen killed with hammer and her body mutilated, affidavit says
Does this mean she has federal charges since she is being turned over to the US marshalls?

"A witness said that Guillen originally left the arms room where she was working to visit the arms room at another location on Fort Hood, the one under the control of Robinson, to confirm serial numbers for weapons and equipment. Witnesses verified that Guillen let the arms room without her Army identification car, bankcard, car keys and barrack keys."

So the murder happened in the arms room AR worked in, not the one VG worked in. Like @Texas68W explained the arms rooms would be close to each other which may be why VG left her belongings behind because she expected to walk down there and come right back.
Omg, I missed that. Now this all makes perfect sense.

She wandered over to his area, and he found himself the perfect opportunity to make a pass at her.

I wonder if CID actually searched the wrong arms room. I imagine that’s been rectified now, if that’s what happened.

Is any information coming from anyone other than VG family lawyer? This case is so strange. I haven't even seen official confirmation of identity yet. I'm seeing details about her demise though?
I thought I read they used strands of her hair to identify her, but that may have come from the family attorney. I haven't heard investigators officially confirm her identity yet.

Yes. Mom specifically used "Sargento" (sgt) in her claims. But that could've easily been misconstrued on Mom's part. Even with the language barrier, VG could've just said someone that's been IN longer than her, did this.

I don't know what to think of it though. A part of me wants to believe it was AR, but because I still have other speculations, I think it may in fact have been someone else.

With her mom, that's exactly what I'm wondering. I keep going back and forth on how much he's responsible for. I feel there's more to this though.

Oh, wow, that makes sense now. So maybe the text message with the serial number has something to do with that? That must have been where she went after she was last seen in the parking lot.

Finally something that makes sense...

What’s the timeline on AR killing himself and CA being arrested?
It looks like it happened at approximately the same time. She was logged in to jail at like 4am, and he killed himself at like 1:30 am.

She obviously would have been arrested before she was booked, which would shave some time off that difference.

Of course, CA talked! What did she have to lose -- her lover AR is dead and she needs to save herself with whatever version best protects herself.
Ok, @Seattle1 I need your help to link Nancy Graces podcast from today lol.

She interviews the lawyer and Tim Miller again. Lots of information, including why he told the family what he did. It’s very interesting indeed.
Thanks!

At least CA took responsibility for her role in this, she could have been a coward and blamed everything on AR.

Nah, she sat by for two months & watched the family frantically searching for PFC Guillen. IMO, she would have never come forward and talked had she not become a scared while in custody.

True. I'm just shocked she was truthful after her boyfriend took the cowardly way out, she could have said anything.
