''DENISON, Texas (KTEN) -- More than seven years ago, a phone call was the last communication between Shauna Hampton and her family. No one has heard from or seen her since
Hampton's family hasn't lost hope, and they're searching for answers.
In June of 2014, Shauna Hampton called her family, asking for a ride home from the Denison jail.
"We were not able to go get her because we were under CPS rules of no contact order, because of the circumstances," Shauna's father, Bill Hampton, said.
Shauna's parents had previously gotten custody of her daughter. Shauna had been struggling with substance abuse.
That phone call, seven years ago, is the last time Shauna's family heard her voice.
"I started contacting some of the people she would contact because she was very needy, always needing a ride or needing something," Bill Hampton said. "I contacted them and they hadn't heard from her, and that's when we knew something wasn't right."

''A move, her family says, was completely out of character for Shauna. Her daughter, Jordyn Hampton, was just nine years old when she disappeared.
"If you knew my mother, you knew that she would always come home," Jordyn said.
"My mother always put my needs before hers, no matter the circumstances, no matter her troubles, no matter financially, she always found a way to provide for me," Jordyn continued. "Though she did get into substance abuse, the mom that wasn't on drugs was an amazing person."

''They filed a report for her missing in 2015.

Since then, they said they have no evidence, no eyewitnesses, no sightings, and no closure.

“Without a body, you just don’t give up hope,” said Bill Hampton. “You have hope every day.”

“Our family is broken without answers, and I think that we deserve them,” said Jordyn Hampton.

The Denison Police Department asked anyone who thinks they may have information to call the detective working the case at (903)465-2422 ext. 2321 or email him at smackay@cityofdenison.com.''

I know a woman who didn’t have a ride after being released from jail on a drug charge, she walked away and a guy she had never seen before pulled over and offered her a ride, she jumped right in. If she had disappeared, no one would have been the wiser as to who picked her up.
In her case, she’s been married to that guy for over 30 years now but I’m only pointing out that people who have just been released from jail probably aren’t always overly cautious about people.
Your guard may be pretty low on judging character after only being around other inmates for awhile.

Last seen July, 3rd 2014, when she called parents outside of the Denison police department for a ride. Not reported missing until March, 2015. Wasn't entered into Namus until Feb, 2023. Seems like a long time to report to namus. Seems like if they reported it earlier they could have viewed the police cameras to see who she left the police station with. Who was she with when arrested the night before? Who was called from her phone that day? All around a weird with the delays in reporting and lack of any trace since that phone call to parents.

Shauna’s family said she struggled with addiction. When she went missing, her daughter was already in the custody of Shauna’s parents.

“She just was so intelligent, so smart and didn’t give us any problems all through high school, and then as she got older, she made some choices that weren’t so good, but as a father, you get a glimpse of God’s love cause you just love them to death anyway,” said Bill Hampton.

One day, in June of 2014, her father Bill got a phone call from Shauna asking for him to give her a ride from the Denison jail. But, because Shauna’s parents were under a no-contact order with her, Bill couldn’t go get her.

“I wish I had gone and gotten her that day, but that was the last we heard from her,” said Bill Hampton.

They filed a report for her missing in 2015. Since then, they said they have no evidence, no eyewitnesses, no sightings, and no closure.

Still missing. I’m her sister.
Thank you @Jhampton for joining the thread. I'm sure you can provide fresh insight into Shauna's disappearance, especially with so little media coverage.

If you wish to share inside information in this case I'd suggest you apply to verify yourself as a 'case insider'. Once verified you can freely share information with the group regarding Shauna's disappearance.

If her family wouldn't go give her a ride when released from jail, surely they aren't the ones looking for her. And they took her kid from................. What family?
May be how she sees it too

It sounds like CPS or a state agency gave custody of her daughter to her parents. Her parents were subject to a court order requiring they not be in contact with her. It’s not that rare and I completely understand why they didn’t want to jeopardize their custody agreement. MOO

When you have a loved one who has a history of disappearing for months at a time, it can be hard to know when to actually report that person missing. Especially if LE is familiar with him or her. You want LE to take it seriously when you do make that report, not just go "Oh, this again. She'll be back in six months when she needs gas money."

Not saying that's the case with Shauna, just putting a possible element out there.
