This made me cry :(. This poor sweet child is in the arms of her maker now, and her true worth is being celebrated.

This is also getting to me, especially when hearing of the heavy rains. Poor baby, so alone 😞

I saw the scroll across the top that police believed Sherin was found....
I thought it meant alive. :tears:

Perhaps she was covered with something and THAT was swept away by the rain?
We have seen kids this age or younger walk 2 miles after disappearing...
However I can't think of any who did that at night...

I am heartbroken for Sini. Losing her children in such tragic circumstances in so sad. She must be traumatised.

For those of you who are local or have done research on the camera footage, does this short route to where Sherin was found have any traffic cameras or businesses that would be likely to have cameras? Such as gas stations, car washes, storage facilities, electronic stores or strip malls, etc.

Just wondering if perhaps some of the footage handed over was from this area and showed something extremely sinister... or less sinister but just as telling, like the Acura driving around several times or erratically ...

OMG, NO!!!!!!!! Why?!?!? I'll never, ever, ever understand what goes through some peoples heads. Why would he put her outside at 0300 because she refused to drink milk? I'm confident that story was bogus but I'll be patient for tests to be done and official results to be spoken to the public.

Rest peacefully, sweetheart. My heart breaks for you, you didn't deserve the life you endured. I wish I could have had a day with you! We would have enjoyed whatever your heart desired; I pray for you now.

I'm local, this touches me deeply. Your name will be with me forever, you won't be forgotten!

You're loved forever, Sherin,

I have heard rumored that they were searching with dogs today, water and high humidity actually helps to intensify things on a cellular level. I believe someone posted about this either at the end of thread 3 or earlier in this one. Yesterday when I saw they were taking down the memorial to protect it because of the high winds and rain expected I had a strong feeling that if they took dogs out today that the winds combined with any extra water may help with the search.
Since the dogs to this point (to my knowledge) are just rumor though, this is very very very much just my opinion...

It seems we are WS are all in mourning after today's discovery. Sometimes a case just grabs us and pulls us in. Especially a child. I think all of us fell in love with Sherin. I believe any one of us would have done everything we could to protect her, had we had the chance.

Everyone's heart is so heavy. I know mine is and has been since the presser. We have to feel the pain of loss and believe that Sherin is in a happier place now. We are grieving together.

I wish for us all to heal from this. I doubt it though that we will heal completely. Sherin stole our hearts. I think we will all carry her with us through the rest of our lives. We can take comfort in each other right now because we lost an angel on earth. Peace and hugs to everyone who has what raked this case diligently.

Search dogs are a fact.

Richardson Police said one of their searches on Sunday led them to an open field, less than half a mile from the Mathews home.

I feel so badly for Sini and for their other daughter... I have been wondering all day if the older child knows her sister has passed away or not :( I hope this doesn't come across as "sleuthing" because it's not my intention at all, but I feel like tomorrow's custody hearing will be very telling for LE as to whether or not Sini or anyone else was involved with Sherin's disappearance. To my knowledge family court is almost always closed, so we won't know anything that happens, but LE will be in there and I am sure some hard questions will be asked of both SM and WM. I have seen in several different MSM sources that say both WM and SM will be in court tomorrow, and I have seen in other places that only Sini will be. I am not sure if WM will have a representative there or not or if he will attend, but from most family cases that I am aware of, both parents usually have representation.
I do hope and pray that both the media, and the public, are kept at a good distance from this family, especially Sini, no parent needs to have people screaming accusations or threats, especially at a time like this...

Since the father is the one under suspicion and nothing has stuck on the mom, as long as the father isn't in the house, I wouldn't doubt they give her back her bio child. I could be wrong though, maybe the courts will wait til the entire investigation is done.

It will be interesting to find out what the court does tomorrow.

Thank you!! For some reason a lot of the MSM isn't loading for me today (maybe a good thing!) I had seen some talk of this on Maria Guerrero's FB live earlier, but I think it was only a question and I don't recall her answering so didn't want to say for certain!! Thank you for clearing it up!!

Is there a train schedule of what time trains pass through? One news video mentioned that the railroads run from her house to near where she was found. If any trains run from 3:00-8:00 am it is conceivable to think she could have been spotted if she walked along the tracks to the area she was found. Since many trains have cameras it would not be out of the question to think (if she walked) she would have been recorded doing so. Of course, I don’t believe for a second she walked there. I am just thinking of one more thing to disprove his possible argument.

So I've been working on this question this evening, and this is what I found out.
The freight trains are very infrequent, maybe 1 or 2 times a day.
Here is a discussion about the tracks that go through the Canyon Creek area, which is the same set of tracks as by Sherin's house, just north west. This was from 2015, so it may have changed since then. There is a phone number below for the rail company, if anyone wants to call.

Before we saw the train we also called the rail line company. It is owned by "Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway Company" and operates on the Kansas City railway. I spoke with a gal with ACWR, she also did not know the time the train would come and expressed it comes around certain times but is determined by when the cargo is ready to be picked up from various costumers. She also said it only runs locally and does not run Sundays and is not allowed to drive fast or toot its horn. Their number is 910-974-4219.

Just an out loud thought . ..... perhaps WS walked while carrying her to the culvert, went back and washed the clothes he was wearing when putting her into the culvert. And then drove around for an hour trying to come up with a story that fit the circumstances.

And driving around trying to figure out what on earth to tell Sherin's mother....
For what it's worth, I do not believe she has been in that culvert all this time. My theory right now is that she was taken somewhere, and then moved to this location. The first search area where LE spent so much time, I think that is the original location. It fits with the time frame of the vehicle being gone. Then, he moved her to the culvert, and his ankle tracking device clued LE into the location. IMO only.
(Hi Cubby!!! I saw your message and hello before it was removed. Just wanted to say hi back!!)

I wish we knew what the light was like along the railroad at 3 am. What is the light like outside by that tree at 3 am?
I remember that Sherin had problems with one of her eyes. Do we know how it impacted her vision? Could she have been disoriented and scared, and stumbled along the tracks?

No, what am I thinking. There is no way she would have gone that way herself. The grass was almost as tall as she was down by that culvert.....

Just last night I erased what I wrote before posting it. I wrote that I was sad another night was going to pass with little Sherin out in the elements. I erased the post because it just sounded so sad and my thoughts didn't add anything to the discussion.

Well, tonight little Sherin is no longer out in the elements. I'm grateful for that....but still sad.

So, assuming WM walked her to that culvert that morning, if her body had been there for 2 weeks, wouldn't the neighbor Prussack (mentioned in this link), who lived there and walked his dogs there every day, have smelled decomposition? (Or at least his dogs have smelled it?) We've had sunny, 78-88 degree weather these past two weeks (lows into mid-60s at night).

Good point. That culvert is close to many homes. Hadn't thought about the smell. Ugh that is terrible. Poor Sherin.

I agree to a similar scenario. That she was possibly taken via Acura driver (WM?) who met up with someone during that 4-5am drive (possibly at Richland College), and handed her off. Then said accomplice (or two?) placed her body in that culvert In the last 24-48 hours (max).

I don't believe WM is stupid enough to try to transport his missing daughter's dead body with an ankle monitor on (that's not a compliment to him; it'd just be incredibly stupid). IMO, JMO

(O/T, after Sherin's discussion on Tricia's radio show tonight was also some very disturbing new information presented by Mark Klaas regarding future changes to Sex Offenders Registry Laws in California; these laws could have very dangerous widespread effects imo! I highly recommend taking a listen if you can, I'm in the process of trying to find the related discussion thread...I am very concerned about what I just heard..)
