It appears they routinely abused her no doubt. But I'm also confident that when you adopt the children aren't given medical exams that could reveal any and all possible previous fractures or broken bones etc. When you take a child to a ped they can't see healed fractures. And they don't routinely just scan or xray a child head to toe to reveal any previous fractures or broken bones. A pediatrician would have had to send every adopted child to a hospital and get insurance to cover it with no medical reason other than they'd been adopted. It's just never going to happen.

Actually if you go back to the Doctor (abuse specialist) that testified in the custody heaings for the biological daughter they did 2 sets of full body scans to show the speed of healing and it proved all fracures came after she was adopted and her bones were not “weak” or prone to fractures.

Is there a limit as to how many time the trial can be passed?

If the defendant waives their right to a speedy trial and agrees to the delays, there really is not. If the prosecutor is the one delaying, then yes, the defendant has a right to a speedy trial. Judges will get annoyed if it takes too long but generally if the defense is okay with the delays they let it go to avoid appellate issues later.

Today, Wesley M. Mathews bond was reduce on three accounts. It is now slightly better than half of what it was. Also, the next court date has been 'passed' for both Wesley, and for Sini. I don't know when the next scheduled court date is. I saw all of this on the news update done by Maria G, newscaster in Texas. I've no idea how to attach her post. I follow the news station via FB.

His bond still totals over a million dollars, and I can't imagine that they have over a million on hand. She said, cash or surety.

Whew!

There's some info at this link:
Richardson dad's bond lowered for charges in adopted daughter's death
Wesley has been in jail since he was indicted on the three additional charges last October. Given some of the testimony in court on Wednesday, he’ll likely remain in jail until he goes to trial on all four charges sometime next year.

Appearing in hand cuffs and jail stripes, Wesley sat quietly and emotionless as his lawyer argued for a bond reduction on Wednesday.

I heard that both were passed again. I did not hear the date they are passed to.

for Sini:
SET FOR DATE 090718 SET FOR TIME 0930 S

for Wesley, I got this message!
  • Mainframe Search is unavailable right now, please try again later.
  • errors.mainframe.notAvailable

So.... can I "assume" they both have the same date?

Hi there, thought to let you know that the next trial dates for Wesley and Sini Matthews are on different days. Tomorrows date, yes tomorrow, is the first trial date since W Matthews bond was reduced. Case No. 18-001 and 17-45865 and two other charges for Wesley Matthews in the District Court of Dallas Texas starts at 8:30am tomorrow (September 6th). Sini Mathews will go to court on Friday September 7th at 8:30am in the same court (282 Dallas County, Texas) and her charge is abandon/endangering a child.

Well, let's see who starts squealing on who. I still have the speculation that the "mother" was the main Perp and the father the stooge.

Speculation and opinion only.

I agree about the mother being the main perp. I wonder though if Daddy Dearest is going to squeal on her. He seems to have been willing to take the blame away from her thus far but I bet his attorney has something to say about that.

She needs some more serious charges laid on her IMO.

Wesley Mathews’ Attorney has a routine announcement hearing this morning in court.
It will not be passed.
It is standard hearing not trial.
Mathews is not supposed to be there.

From that same link

Maria Guerrero Sini Mathews has an announcement hearing tomorrow. Her attorney tells me he doesn’t know if he’ll pass or not.
