Well, he can plead not guilty however SS was found in his room and I am sure that DNA will tell the tale. If that isn't enough to prove guilt, I don't know what is.

My guess is that there is more than sufficient evidence to prove guilt that SS will not be required to testify.

I also don't see this as being a long and drawn out trial. IMO it's a slam dunk.

Maybe he wants a new lawyer because his current lawyer was suggesting that he plead guilty.

MOO

I agree a new lawyer that “ will get him off “, like all the other times. JMHO

This trial is for the kidnapping only. The other charges are pending in Tarrant County.

Fort Worth Police To Review Amber Alert Process

Additional fall out from this case.

Fort Worth police also must fax information to local media outlets. They say detectives at the command post were having trouble with the fax machine available at the scene, and that fax was never sent.

They say they will now email information to the police department's communications division which has the equipment to send faxes.

I believe that there may be a ruling on Michael Webb's sanity tomorrow, if I am not mistaken.

In three motions, Webb’s attorney, John Stickney, asked a judge in Fort Worth to dismiss the case, suppress evidence and change the location of the trial if it happens.

A judge is expected to rule on the motions no later than Sept. 6. Webb is set for a jury trial on Sept. 23. The trial has already been rescheduled once.

MW attorneys are trying real hard for the guy. I will give them that much.

Michael Webb Sentenced To Life For Kidnapping 8-Year-Old Fort Worth Girl

A jury found him guilty of kidnapping an 8-year-old girl in Fort Worth. Today a federal judge sentenced Michael Webb to life in prison.

The sentence, handed down by Judge Reed O’Connor, was the maximum Webb could have received. While reading the decision the judge told the court how Webb had continued to be violent since being incarcerated — including fighting with personnel and stabbing four people with a 16 inch shank.

I am thinking that it will not be long before the other inmates learn what he did to the little girl at his new home.

Hallelujah praise the Lord !!!!

I hope he never sees daylight again. Now I wish we could find out some information about the cops though didn't follow up on the lead at the motel the first time.

I live in a small town, I've seen cops blow off situations, and I fully understand why this community got out and look for her themselves.

MHO...

The cop who failed to find her in the hotel room was fired 'with cause'.

The Fort Worth Amber Alert protocol was revamped as well.

I wish they had edited this a bit, to protect this child. We didn't need to see evidence of what this creature did to her.

He is also going to be charged with sexual assault of a child. Apparently, this guy is never going to see the light of day outside of prison.

I am not sure why they are going to charge him with the sex crime, when the kidnapping charge will keep him in prison.

This crime was so brazen, to just steal a child in broad daylight. Walking with an adult, no less. It is a miracle that she was rescued alive.

What is with the world? This seems to be happening more and more often, escalated random violence.

The story is terrifying but seeing the video just escalates the horror. Each of those officers are probably dads and you can hear the emotion in their voices. They knew exactly what happened as soon as the saw that blood on the bed. It's one thing to think that she was probably assaulted, but to have proof that confirms it is another. I will admit that I wouldn't have been upset to hear that the suspect fell down 8 flights of stairs before tumbling into the path of a city bus as officers were escorting him out.

I can't explain the emotion of seeing that video. My hands are shaking and the tears are flowing. To hear her little voice say that she's OK just broke my heart.

What a . I hope he never sees the light of day. Prison justice is brutal. That's all I'm going to say.
