I have also heard that the do have DNA from SP and I couldn't figure out how, but this might explain it. I have further heard that the DNA was used to rule out a good number of people as being the SP, but that there were two on the original SW who declined the DNA test and so LE was leaning towards them as suspects and that LE tried hard to make a case for them but when they turned everything over to the FBI, the FBI told them they were wrong. By that time, those two people had been already tried in the court of public opinion and had their names and private info splashed all over the place, so they lawyered up. There was a person interviewed on True Crime Radio who implicated these people so I think that rumor maybe true. She also revolked any mention of being on the show on her blog. Of course Tricia can say if anyone reached out to her via a lawyer. So that put them back at square 1 and feeling pretty discouraged. I guess one might turn down a DNA if they knew they were innocent out of fear of being framed/fear of LE? I don't know.
Hadn’t heard they had DNA. I’d be really wary of that in that no one has definitively identified the gender and DNA would reveal that. It's possible they could be withholding that information but I’d really button down my source.
How about Kentucky?

"The affidavit says Missy was in the church for about 30 minutes where she was setting up for her fitness class. It says cameras captured her walking toward the suspect's location. After that, neither are seen again on camera. Her body later found in the southwest corner of the building."
Also appears in the broadcast at about the 1:38 mark (shows snips of the affidavit).

That's a really good point...what could they be swabbing people for if not for DNA?
 I'd like to buy a vowel please. (sorry...couldn't resist.)
Starting from the left.. do you think the first dark/shadowed object (not the 2nd darker object) is a symbol (like the Statue of Liberty for example) or just a streak? I can help sort through tags later tonite on the link you provided. I have a few errands to run, between downpours.
Well...then I am stumped. The source I had was one removed from LE. But I think if they had the gender, they would have said it. Or it would have gotten out. Back to having no idea. If you listen to Tricia's podcast on May 12, that person had the same info that I had then--that police had zoned in on two people on the SW and the arrest was coming. Was it ever, I wonder now? Or is there someone on LE who just enjoys messing with people by spreading false info?
If they have DNA, they know the gender...
Respectfully although the article says that MB was there and references iPhone n iPad SW, the SW does not say that. Here is link SW http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...eline-*NO-DISCUSSION*&p=12523517#post12523517 Poor MSM reporting!
Long-time lurker on this case - have been reading from the start, but sorry if this was already mentioned and I missed....but... Could there be someone at SWFA - not necessarily an employee - who was working with the Altima driver? Specifically wondering what the sight line from 2nd floor SWFA "tv room" is to the church - could they signal SP if other campers/vehicles entered COC?
Not if it's mitochondrial DNA.
It's also possible this is from a sealed warrant/affidavit that was not intended for public consumption.
I don't believe the MPD are messing with us. IMO...I would be very disappointed if the police gave us any information that could jeopardize this case. IMO... I think the police know so much but we all feel that no information means the case is cold. Whatever it takes at this point to catch this killer, I support the MPD. It's normal for us to want to know who did such a horrible crime but I know we will in time. Sometimes silence is golden.

Thank you!!! That's what I've thought all along. What they're not saying is louder than what they are.

The media is not given access to info in a sealed affidavit until it is unsealed. And that's the same point at which the general public gets access, and it is open to them for the very purpose of "public consumption" - as media's profession is to obtain and spread information to the public, and effectively they are considered to be no more than an extension of the public at large.
Happens all the time. Media was given access to the search warrants in this very case and then they were sealed for 2 months. Media also has folks inside the PDs who will give access to things that they later realize they should not have provided.
