It seems like so many children, like Troy, just go from one disaster parent to the next. They don't get a break or an opportunity to live in a home to learn what it is like to be a normal kid, loved and cared for.

Is it their "karma"? Not sure why these kids just get bad breaks, one after another.

I can not access this - I am also not in the U.S. - and I do subscribe to Harris County court site - but it won't allow me to view these.

What is Jermaine's FULL name - I am not finding him in the court site.

There is nothing for a Jermaine Thomas in the court site. Under a different name? Spelled different??

Never mind - first name is Jemaine - found him - and putting his stuff together.... :)

His adoptive parents, 42-year-old Jemaine Thomas and 35-year-old Tiffany Thomas, are charged in connection with his death, announced Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on Tuesday. His name in one article I found is , 42-year-old Jemaine Thomas. Hope that works . The odd time I can figure out a court site lol but it's rare. I'm so glad you do that for so many cases. Thank you @ Niner for all you do it's so appreciated

From my notes:
It was revealed in court that Troy was found with blood on his nose, a bump on his forehead & bruising on his legs. Blood was also found inside the washing machine and in the doorway. Investigators extracted text messages from Tiffany & Jemaine's cell phones. Court paperwork said Tiffany texted Jemaine that she "Threatened to put (Troy) in the stove and turn it on," until the little boy finally came clean about eating her oatmeal cream pie cookies. Some of the text messages from Jemaine to Tiffany graphically describe how Jemaine said he was going to kill the 7-year-old. The court paperwork said Jemaine allegedly covered Troy's mouth & nose with an unknown object, submerging him underwater.
