So Zuzu went missing in the early morning hours on Wednesday, but was not reported missing until Friday, and it was her mom who contacted the police ... I'm so sorry, but this one is not going to end well ....

Not well at all and, the sheriff asking ranchers to look around their property for loose soil and possessions doesn't bode well. :(

Does anyone know what kind of dog she had?

P)raying for clues. Thinking about you and your stressed and worried family, ZuZu :candle:

Listed on the Equusearch site.

A little information about how Equusearch works and a good reminder:

We do search for many people that might possibly be the victims of foul play, but only after law enforcement officers either requests our help, or gives Texas EquuSearch their approval to enter the case and conduct a search. In many cases, investigators may postpone their approval for several days, and rightfully so. That’s because the investigators are following-up on multiple leads, waiting for the findings of tests on crime scene evidence, interviewing witnesses, getting subpoenas, awaiting the results of phone records and much more. Only on a television program will you see a foul play related missing person case be solved — in one hour.
BBM

Many missing person’s families criticize investigators for various reasons. Many families claim that investigators aren’t moving fast enough, or doing enough to find their missing loved one. But the investigators constantly use their training, technology and investigative skills to successfully track & locate several thousands of missing persons each year.

Does anyone know what kind of dog she had?

Just wanted to add to my post that there was a reason I asked this, it wasn't just for curiosity but it doesn't really matter now. I saw a report of a Jeep in an accident (man taken to hospital) with evidence that there may have been a dog missing from the car, but it turned out to be the wrong color and wrong model of Jeep. So, completely unrelated to this story. Carry on!

I'm sorry if I overlooked this - was she living alone or with her boyfriend?

It seems unclear, but I'm leaning toward, no they did not live together and were not that serious. This article says she "went on date" Tuesday night: http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2016/10/17/keller-family-desperate-to-find-missing-college-student/
This article describes him as "her on-again off-again boyfriend" and says they went with a group of friends: http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/Al...ng-possibly-endangered-student-397143381.html

My question is, who goes to the movies the night before a midterm exam? I guess she and the other students were not worried about their grades? I understand needing a study break if it was exam week, but there is no mention they went to the library to study after the movie or anything like that.

What a beautiful girl. I'm getting Christina Morris vibe here. And I hate it.

Have they released the BF's name? (I know his name. Just wondering if it was made public). TIA

Prauing for her safe return.

Has anyone made a case map yet?
Some locations of note:
This article says her apt was being searched but doe snot say where it is: http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/397228351.html
Also from that article:
last seen on Harrison Street at 3:30 AM Wed
Friends and family are searching through Trans-Pecos area
Unconfirmed sighting of her at a Stripes Convenience store with an unidentified man

Some other locations:
Movie theater--is there more than one? She went there with friends/boyfriend/date Tuesday night
Sul Ross State University: She attends college there AND works there on campus
Big Bend National Park -she was planning to go camping there with friends after midterms
Search location: Alpine Fire Station/Emergency Operations Center at 208 E. Holland--Volunteers met there Sunday Oct 16 to search streets, alleys, and other areas related to the missing woman.

Where are you Zuzu? I'm not feeling good about this. It's been too long.
I keep thinking we'll hear some good news.......

Is there something wrong with WS?!!! I am having a terrible time with the page shutting down, losing my post, not letting me type, hesitating when I do type, cramming what I type together instead of leaving paragraphs, etc. :banghead:

Excuse my huge spaces, but when I posted this, everything was crammed together AGAIN!!!

This is about my fifth time trying to reply to Gardener's post about making a map. I have some addresses, but I'm not a map maker.

I have searched numerous sites for ZuZu's address, with no success. If she was seen on Harrison at 3:00 a.m. she may live in the area.

Harrison borders the campus on the west side.

Stripes Gas and Convenience Store is at 700 E Ave East, just a couple of blocks west from Harrison.

The Rangra Theatre seems to be the only one, at 109 E Holland Dr, just a few blocks west of Stripes on the next street over.

Family intensifies search:
The Verk family lives in Keller. Zuzu attended Timber Creek High School.

According to the Alpine Police Department, she has now been missing for six days. They say she may be in danger.
Over the weekend, more than 100 people thoroughly searched the small town in southwest Texas.
Police told the local ABC affiliate, KMOI-TV, that there were no substantial leads in her disappearance. They have not elaborated on the circumstances surrounding her disappearance early Wednesday morning, or why, specifically, they think she might be in trouble.

Sorry you had such trouble posting, but I'm glad you managed to reply!

You are right, it was the Ranga Theatre according to this: http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/397351721.html

"Residents told CBS 7 that Zuzu had last been seen on Harrison Street around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, and at a nearby apartment police tape was found around a scene."

Apt nearby to Harrison St, can I heckers find it!! Not giving up though!

I'm trying to find it too Skibaboo! Odd that they have not at least said what street she lives on in any of the media yet. I'm glad you posted this pic because I just noticed there is a big dent in the side of her car. I wonder if that was there before she went missing?
