Me, too. But maybe it will finally be over.

Yes, yes of course. But I just literally posted that I had a dream about her. I'm trippin a little bit!

Sunny Glenn Canyon is an outlying area, apparently.

It is. It's like a ranching subdivision. Nice houses, land for horses, pretty expensive. Also, if I remember correctly (it's been a couple of years since our friends out there moved away), some trails in the non-developed area for ATV, horse rides, stuff like that. I would have assumed they searched out there when she first went missing though...

Body was apparently found in a shallow grave.

I know we all expected this and hoped ZuZu would be found, but this still hurts. And if it isn't ZuZu it's someone else's family. :(

Sunny Glen Road (1703) is at the far west end of town and parts are desolate. As I recall RF's family lives on the west side of town as did Zuzu.

ETA: I see now that it's Wagon Rd in the Sunny Glen area, not Sunny Glen Rd.

BREAKING NEWS, BREWSTER COUNTY OFFICIALS HAVE REPORTED TO KVLF/KALP THAT AN UNIDENTIFIED BODY WAS FOUND IN A SHALLOW GRAVE JUST OFF OF WAGON ROAD IN THE SUNNY GLEN AREA.
AT THIS TIME, THIS IS THE ONLY INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE. AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE WE WILL PASS IT ON TO OUR LISTENERS.

Obviously not someone who died accidentally then.

Yeah, there could be people missing that haven't been reported. Alpine's not as bad as further south in the county, but some people come out here when they want to disappear so it could be someone that no one knows to be looking for. Not sure which I would rather it be.

Alpine PD is helping. Sunny Glen is just out of the city limits.

Thanks, Queen. While I hope it isn't Zuzu as I want her safe, it is someone's loved one.

I wonder if there is any connection to the area to the POIs?

Thanks, Queen. I was just coming here to post that.
I hope it's not her, but I hope it is. Very mixed feeling right now. Praying for her family.

I added a marker to the Case Map so we can see where the remains were found

wagon.jpg

8 miles from RF's house (at the time)

Was Zuzu's phone ever located?

No trees were destroyed in the sending of this message, however, a significant number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Rough mapping indicates Wagon is about 7 miles,or 15 minutes from Alpine. It isn't very long and in some places appears to go through and around a residential area, but quite remote.

I guess I was typing while skibaboo was posting. She's faster and better!

Alpine TX police have not IDed body found in shallow grave but say ZuZu Verk of Keller is the only reported missing person in the area @KRLD

I'm in Alpine today and scuddlebutt around town is leaning towards it being her. I just left lunch and overheard two people discussing that there was enough left of the body/items on the body that LEO knows, but have to have a medical confirmation. Not stating this as truth, just what I heard while eating.

IIRC it was found inside her house? Not sure if that was ever confirmed but I'm sure it was said in one of the video reports?
