In my opinion the trailer hire company are clean!! They are quite a large outfit and have many customers, if they were involved would you rent a trailer that they new had a tracking device!!!!! No
Covers them I suppose though doesn’t it for when they get caught... I’m not saying they knew people were in there
Those are standard trailer rental prices, it is also standard to rent trailers for loads. Very very common in hauling. There is even specific insurance coverage for hauling non-owned trailers because most haulers either rent one or just pick up others trailers and loads.

I have been following this story and the thread on here. I find it astonishing that nothing had been picked up in ports before this tragic incident.

The way the lorry was oddly parked on the industrial estate at the scene could be due to moving it forward to allow for the amount of ambulances, police vehicles initially on the scene, keeping the road behind it flowing?

Possibly the date from December last year is the date he started working for Hughes? Hughes must of known the trailer whereabouts, leading the question about the trailers GPS. I read that not only did the hire company know on their system the trailer route but the driver could via their phone? That seams odd to me that it wouldn’t be the haulier?

Last week police were pulling up manhole covers around the scene on the industrial estate and conducting fingertip search. Maybe they were looking for a mobile phone or SIM card? If Mo Robinson didn’t ring Hughes and he didn’t have access to the trailer GPS then someone did and they informed Hughes.

What’s happening with Eamon Harrison , is he in court today ? Thanks

Some info on Eamon in this article today:

Meanwhile police from Essex and Northern Ireland are expected in Dublin today (WED) to prepare questioning of a man being held in protective custody in isolation.

They want to question him about the people trafficking route in Europe , smuggling gangs and a lorry impounded in Dublin which is at the centre of a forensic examination by specialist garda officers.

A source said: “Essex police cannot extradict this man unless and until he’s charged.

“Officers are travelling over from England to Dublin to convey their questions to Garda detectives and sit in on interviews with this individual.

“Officers from the PSNI are also expected to be present with background intelligence.

“He is to be questioned in connection with the delivery of a container to Zeebrugge.

“This is part of the Mutal Assistance Programme which is regularly used by the PSNI and the Gardai.

“The individual they plan to question is in currently in custody and in isolation for his own safety to ensure no one gets to him and silences him before he is questioned.”

It shows how explosive all of this is, and how far reaching this illegal human trafficking epidemic truly is.

I wonder who LE thinks would want to silence this man enough they would be willing to kill him?

Have they arrested other human traffickers before? If so did any of the other illegal traffickers have harm done to them or were they also put in protective isolation?

It reminds of the dangerous powerful mafia enterprise who for decades murdered thousands to silence what they perceived as snitches or their adversaries.

Probably any of the Loyalist or Republican paramilitaries, if it turns out they are involved.

Who knows who the Hughes are connected too? Who knows just how far reaching this gang is? It is fair to say using young lads is not accidental. They are relatively new to having HGV class 1’s and for some it’s a dream to drive a truck never mind the ones these lads drove! The glamour of truck shows and showing off these trucks, they are totally enamoured. Older longer in the tooth drivers will ask questions, they have families and more too loose. No excuse thou!

I wouldn’t imagine that using social media as often as Mo Robinson did and checking in at numerous points on his travels was a move that any knowing smuggler would do. Maybe EH again a young lad may shine light on his part of this gangs enterprise.

Clearly he will be scared, he could of been contacted by members of the gang while still in Europe. Maybe threatened including families? I’m intrigued as to how EH came back into UK without getting stopped? Zebrugge admitted they shared his details earlier last week. Yet they let him get on the boat at Holyhead and go into Ireland knowing the rigmarole it would take to bring him back to UK!

They will have to bring him to UK and I assume MR himself will be in some sort of protective custody in UK prison, if he’s not still at Grays Police Station.

Vietnamese Police Minister To Lam has held a telephone conversation with the UK Home Secretary Priti Patel in relation to the #Essex #lorry incident. Mr Lam told Ms Patel #Vietnam is willing to cooperate to identify the victims and has a taskforce ready to go to the UK if needed
