Do we really need to know? He'd been fantasising about rape and murder for a year, he saw an opportunity and took it. I really don't see how knowing every little detail is going to add any more insight into the crime than that.

What doesn’t sit well with me is how a ‘child’ sits through the details of his crime trying NOT to laugh. And then smirks at his victims parent. Think for a moment if she was your child and come back to me full of remorse for him.

He'll be housed with prisoners convicted of similar crimes. In 4 years time he'll be small time everyone forgotton about him. Hopefully.

27 years before even being considered for parole. Don't worry, he won't get parole, he's in for life however long or short his life may be.

He was sentenced to life. All life sentences have a minimum tariff, that doesn't in any way mean he will be released when the minimum tariff is served. The way the judge was talking I wouldn't expect this one to necessarily ever be released at all.

It is life but he can apply for parole in 27 years , it doesn’t mean he will ever be allowed out

It was the maximum allowed in law for a juvenile, the judge made it clear it would have been higher if he was an adult.

Your criticism of the judge is very unfair here. If anything you should be calling on politicians to change the sentencing laws.
