Its seems strange they have had the landrover for a few days, but they arrested him after searching the house, I dont know, but I am getting a bad feeling about that.

I think the focus in and around the house has been a turning point into Aprils disappearance. I definitely think a very significant find connected to it has resulted in the arrest of MB.

Anyone listening to sky. NO comment on finding aprils clothing in his house!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The police was asked, instead of saying no, they replied with no comment.

That's never good,I always see it as if they hadnt found anything they would say!

Buddha I agree,I can't say what I would do to him or I'd get banned lol

Yes and I agree, think those 2 ladies should have been told properly first then brought on camera.

I completely agree. There was no need for her to be so insensitive other than wanting to film the emotional responses of these two women.

That was not reporting, and she should be ashamed. But I doubt that she is.

Official Police Statement

Statement from Detective Superintendent Reg Bevan

I would like to update you on developments in our investigation.

Mark Bridger has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of April Jones.

He remains in custody at Aberystwyth Police Station where he continues to be questioned.

The arrest does not detract from our efforts to find April and we remain committed to finding her.

Her family has been informed of this development and as you would expect they continue to be supported by a family liaison officer.

While this is a significant development in the investigation, I once again appeal to the public for information which may help us find April.

We are looking to trace the movements of Mark Bridger between 6.30pm on Monday and 3.30pm on Tuesday and any sightings of him between these times.

We also need information regarding the movements of the blue Land Rover Discovery registration L503 MEP between these times.

Statement from Superintendent Ian John

If they had found clothes in his house, surely that would be enough to charge him?

If her clothes were found elsewhere (river perhaps) that woudl be enough to change the arrest from abduction to murder.

I think this might be slightly different from the Chris Jefferies arrest. CJ was originally arrested on suspicion of murder.

In this case MB was arrested on suspicion of abduction which has now changed to suspicion of murder.

They have to have something concrete to change the charge IMHO

message from coral aprils mum
"i am not giving up hope and have not been told my daughter is dead yet please stay hopefull!"

Her message makes me so very sad - I think she knows by now that April will not come safely back home, but until the bitter end Coral will desperately hold on to hope. As a mother, I can 100% understand that.

God bless this woman and give her the strength to handle whatever information she will learn today.

Exactly, they have said no to other details when asked certain details.

I can see a queue forming

A specialist sona rboat is being brought in from the home office in London to search a small section of river.

Only something concrete that it was a murder and not just an abduction. Nothing to say it was him or else they would have charged him.

A specialist Sonar boat is being brought up to the River to search...

this is so terribly sad, god bless her family and give them strength

Martin Brunt reporting that the police are looking at a small stretch of the river now a couple of miles away. He is convinced something has been found, perhaps a piece of clothing. The Home Office are sending a sonar boat to the area.

Regarding the sonar boat, Martin Brunt said "It appears the police have a pretty good idea of where they should be searching."

He also said police know what they are going to find there.

I'm thinking MB may have confessed.

I think its only a matter of time now, sadly. THey seem to know where they are searching, its very focused on that part of the river.

I'm thinking these media people make up their own minds like lots of the other people with no facts necessarily.

One of my fb friends said he has admitted it but won't tell them where she is,not sure that's true though you know what rumors are like.

Wouldn't they charge him in that case?

I agree to a certain respect. But even so, they seem to be quite focused on that area, right from the beginning its always been the river. I wonder if they knew something from the start.

Do they need to have a body to actually charge him? Is that what they are waiting for?
