Looks like they are signing the registry (marriage) so must be an older photo. Not a big deal it just seemed odd he wasn't in any appeals or anything.

Thank you, I found that one on Google images. Complicated family connections with the accused.

As has been said before as a parent, especially Mother I would not believe it until I was presented with a body....I would find an excuse or reason for everything I was told up til that moment. It really is heartbreaking!

Absolutely! But quite seperate from the mother's needs, right now I am concerned that April *may* still be alive and in need of rescuing, and all the time everyone is assuming the police know for sure she is dead and are just looking for a dumped body, the public have not been keeping their eyes peeled for a live 5yr old being carted around by strangers, possibly even in Algeria or Australia by now!

And, under the circumstances, why wouldn't April's parents have let her play with his kids, and go on trips in his car with them? Why are we now hearing rumored denials that April has ever been in that car legitimately? Can we assume the police have spoken with <Mod Snip>Paul Jones, the one who was MB's brother in law and quite probably socialised with him extensively at family gatherings?

Presumably you have all seen this as it's about 10 hours old -

Even with the family tree chart I had to stop and think for a minute!

But of course you wouldn't be worried under normal circumstances as he is part of the extended family.

He was a regular at the Red Lion pub, where he was a member of the cricket and darts teams, but had recently stopped participating, and had not been seen in the pub.

Just wondered if anyone knew any more about this, I haven't heard one report from anyone saying they played cricket/darts with MB or about him being a regular in Pub.....Maybe just because people don't want to be connected in anyway but I know from doing Tea's for my ex husbands Cricket team they were a hive of conversation and everyone was very friendly....

MB doesn't come across (by reports) to me as being a loner or anti-social, the fact one of his own family members said he was a fantasist and that he told many he was ex army...sounds to me like he was trying to fit in and wanted to be liked. It is also said he was a ladies man, which makes sense judging by the amount of partners he had.

From everything I've read I don't see pre-meditated murder somehow, rather taking AJ as an act of revenge or payback that has gone horribly wrong.
On the other hand the word 'horrific' has been used several times and I wonder if MB is a Psychopath...all my own opinion for course, The Truth will out as they say!!:banghead:

I dont think most have seen it as it was posted late last night, UK time.

Still trying to get my head round it but didnt realise PJ had kids with ED's (previously EG) sister.

Not the most reliable of tabloids but the Judges comment if true throws up even more confusion on my opinion?? What 'uncertainties' is he referring to I wonder???

The not being able to set a date **may** be simply because the forensics are not finished and ,until all the evidence is * ready*, the defence cant have sight of it ( I think that is how it works, am sure someone can correct me if that is not fact ) and so until the defence have sight they are not able to build their case with MB.

Or it could be based on police instruction regarding their search for AJ

- also, slightly off topic of this post, but it never ceases to amaze me how the papers change the headline to suit........ MB today is the slaughter house worker !! other times, he is a lifeguard or handyman

Re the family tree posted from the telegraph article

Do people still refer to the children as cousins even though there dont appear to be actual marriages between the various partners ?
This is a serious question btw, I am not having a dig about partners versus married couples

I wonder if MB is a Psychopath...all my own opinion for course, The Truth will out as they say!!:banghead:

I feel that he isn't, due to the very appropriate emotional reaction in the magistrate's court. When you think of psychopath, Ian Brady was your typical psychopath. Cold, and convinced by his own logic that he was right. Compare psychopathy with psychosis, which includes schizophrenia. A psychopath is considered untreatable by current methods, it's more like the way their brain is hardwired, or a type of social/moral dyslexia. Psychosis is usually controllable by medication and the person has a near normal moral profile while successfully treated.

Yes, because it's a blood relationship.

I don't think the family are denying that AJ had been in the car, just not 2/3 days before as the press had stated.

PJ AND MB were friends they were known to play about with cars/bikes' in PJ's garage.
Also PJ is not elusive he was advised by Police not to go out searching as he has a degenerative eye disease. This was said in one of the Police conferences too I think.

Yes, these days when children no longer require to be legitimised by legal marriage, familial relationships are usually described by blood tie as well as legal structure. For example, now biological fathers have to pay to support children they had with women they never met more than once, and biological parents are expected to be known to their adopted children.

I am not sure they would necessarily know, if on previous occasions she returned unharmed. I mean they weren't watching to see whose car she got into that Monday, they only found out because after she went missing, people asked. If she had come back safely before they needed to call her in, they may have never been told she got into his car that night.

Also PJ is not elusive he was advised by Police not to go out searching as he has a degenerative eye disease. This was said in one of the Police conferences too I think.

As I made clear in my post, I was not referring just to his absence at the searches. He has been absent from *everything* including when his wife left home because she couldn't stand the stress. And a degenerative sight disorder does not in itself explain absence from a press conference his wife went to. There are ways to protect your eyes from bright lights.

It could be that he is so stressed from his sight problems that he can't cope with any of this extra stress, so has gone to stay elsewhere. That's fine by me, and the possibility of this was included in my post.

To be fair the family relationships were posted today in the link above, so are we not to discuss that?

It may be that the Dad is laying low because he feels bad about the accused being his former 'brother in law'.
