Just going back to the torture step, sorry ‘thinking step’. That usually means “sit on the bottom step of the stairs”. Did Arthur have to stand on the bottom step or on the ground beside the stairs? If on the step it requires more mental and physical effort to stay there, and it’s further to fall for head injuries when he inevitably keeled over with sleep deprivation / exhaustion / boredom / losing balance a few times per day.. where exactly was he standing?

Unfortunately, they haven't for the past 17 months :/ The more time goes on the more I am angered by TH's family.

I really think that Arthur's mother and her family should get to choose where he is buried (this is the dispute that is keeping him in the mortuary). After all, as all mothers do, she risked her life and health to give him life. Also, her side of the family didn't murder him. Finally, normally it is the parents who choose where a deceased child is buried. Since both are imprisoned, it should be the choice of the parent who didn't kill the child.

TH family are being very selfish on this matter. Most normal families would be feeling second-hand guilt in this situation. They've done enough damage by 1) raising such a *advertiser censored* in the first place 2) doing their utmost to gloss over the blame for said *advertiser censored* in court, helping to reduce his sentence and conviction, and 3) with their disgusting victim impact statement, ensuring the public's focus is on ET as the evil one, while TH will be forgotten, even though he was just as bad, if not worse than ET for those last 3 months.
100000% agree with your whole post

Dont even try to research this evil or you might go mad.

Returning to famous "guidelines"

Are there any of them to make a murderer stand in front of the Judge while the sentence is given?

How come the murderer ET was allowed to snub the Court and hide somewhere?

Well, THAT is against Court guidelines in my opinion.

Part of me thinks, that Arthur did resist and fight back against her when going to the step, and ET couldn't take it. And then he tried to run out the door.

We saw how distressed he was in the footage the night before, I think he just didn't want to take it anymore. And did push back against the monster, perhaps for real this time.

Which would have made her furious, and she lost it.

I think this happened for sure - he launched an escape - with every ounce of energy he had like with the duvet. It doesn’t matter if you are going 1 yard per minute, it’s a daring bid to escape.

I would’ve gone there everyday and sat kn

i just don’t know what misbehaviour he could’ve possibly gotten up to that day for them to still “discipline” him

he didn’t have the energy to move!!!!

What did he do that made him punished that day so he wasn’t allowed to go to the store with his dad. Evidently he was just breathing. That was enough for him to be punished it seems

Even the hairdresser said he did NOTHING those two days to warrant a reprimand. At all

is he pulling a face or is he actually that ugly...

sounds like Tustin spent all day every day lounging around in pj's, eating mcdonalds, lounging in the sun and hot tub, going to the hairdressers, getting tattoos. Prison will be hard for her, all she's ever known is getting her own way and doing whatever she likes whenever she likes. That alone will make her suffer

I wonder to what degree they kept him isolated and punished. What abt toilet breaks??? Showers???
I hope he snuck some water in the shower or when he went to the bathroom. Surely they didn’t monitor that!!!

my god the details gojng through my head. I just want to know what his thoughts were in isolation. Hope he just went to his happy place for most of it. Like we do in stressful situations….

I think towards the end they didn’t even bother with showers :(

I want Adele’s “go easy on me” to be played in their jail cells forever. Until they crack. The words in that powerful song could be just as easily if Arthur sung them.
I cried hearing it on the radio :(

If it is true what you say, then one can only cry on the state of society we live in.
You talk about guidelines and "professionals".
And yet, the child was tortured and then murdered without mercy.
And even his right to be buried with dignity has been denied.
The most vulnerable member of society who should have been cherished.
Well, but a "father" will be free in 14 years' time because the guidelines say so.
What are the guidelines for the victims?

The so called "guidelines" are not commandments written in stone.
I could list of hundreds of cases of parents or de facto parents harming children. Sorry but that’s the brutal truth. Arthur is not the first and he won’t be the last.

Sentencing guidelines are what the judge has to sentence within, they are built on years of judicial precedent (judges following the decisions of other judges). High level judges can use their discretion to go outside of the guidelines, but they have to have a very good reason for doing so and evidence to support their decision. They’re not commandments, but they’re pretty close.

Professionals i.e. social workers, police, doctors, schools etc. People can be good at playing the system. People can hide things and be devious.

It’s Arthur’s family that are denying him being buried, nobody else.

As for victims, the sentence imposed on the perpetrator is supposed to provide the victims with justice. Also the focus of the judicial system for perpetrators is supposed to be rehabilitation. Although the English system fails a massively at that.

Just read that TH has agreed to release Arthurs body to Olivias family and both will have a funeral for him

In my opinion it wasn’t misbehaviour. It appears that Arthur was punished for being a 6 year old child with some issues, which when you look at his life experiences his “problems” are completely understandable. Children are noisy, demanding and need stimulation. All things he wasn’t allowed to do/have. If he was being “rude” who could blame him? When he’s been isolated, is bored and is getting abused. It’s like a cycle, he “misbehaved” so he was “punished” which then caused more “misbehaviour”. MOO
