At least being a city there should be a lot of CCTV cameras about. Hope they find her.

@ pappa rob ^ Yes, that's what I read on the club's comments that worried me so much.

I don't know why, and I very much hope I'm wrong ... but I feel iffy about this one :(

Me too.

It could be she was taken to the staff room as there was a suspicion she was spiked, they decided she hadn't been and was just drunk so was removed/ escorted of the premises by the bouncer to ensure she wouldn't cause trouble /drink any more.

It was absolutely freezing in Sheffield this weekend so if she tried to walk home and fell or something. It wouldn't be a happy ending.

Anyone familiar with the club's area here?

I was wondering what is the large piece of land between Fitzwilliam St and Devonshire St. Is it open ground, parkland ?

No girl should EVER be escorted -politely or otherwise - from a club alone. Either friends should be located by the staff or someone should be contacted to collect them or failing that, police called if the person is that drunk.

I really do hope she is safe but very worried.

Nope there is a comment saying physical removed by her arm. Whether this implies she needed support to leave or was being aggressive, it isn't made clear or obvious. Logged with the police. The staff room comment is on the original missing post.

Oh, well I don't know what you're looking at then. The comment I quoted from was from the SY police FB, but there were more than 850 comments at the time, and there was a second post as well with more. I wonder if it was the same poster both times. I don't know what you mean by "the original missing post"?

It called Devonshire green, if you Google devonshire green, Sheffield hallam university it brings up a break down of the space and images. I can't post the link because of my phone!

Reading the reviews for the club, it depends entirely upon which bouncer you are left with. Some will make you safe, some will turn you out.

I completely agree though, no body, male or female who is drunk or vulnerable should be left to their own devices!

DT on the clubs Facebook page shared a comment which was the first "missing post". Will find the bounce post, I stupidly didn't screensave it!

Ah you mean a post about her being missing. I thought you meant a post that was no longer there, duh.
So difficult to find anything on FB

Ah here we are: posted by Amy Lowe "Just seen on another post that a girl saw her being taken out by a bouncer on her own, looking drunk... God I hope she's found safe!!"

I'd apply that to all drunks. It would cut down a lot of the impaired driving some anyway.

If she still has her mobile phone on her surley the police trace to where she was last at or is

Lots of Police activity

The Sheffield Hallam University student, who is studying biosciences and chemistry, has not made contact with family or friends since the night out and failed to turn up for work at B&M at Meadowhall Retail Park on Sunday.

She also failed to turn up to a family dinner that day.

Caroline, known as Carrie, began her university studies in September and lives in the Halford House student accommodation complex in Fitzalan Square, city centre.

Detectives searching for her are ploughing through CCTV footage from the nightclub and from cameras in and around the city centre.

Superintendent James Abdy, leading the hunt, said: “This is completely out of character for Caroline and it’s vital that we establish where she is as soon as possible. She’d been out on Saturday night with friends but we don’t know exactly what happened inside the club. We are still speaking to witnesses, speaking to all her friends and looking at CCTV.”

He said he believes Caroline left the nightclub alone but police still need to verify the information and are appealing for witneeses who may have seen her at the club or on her walk home.

Police are carrying out extensive searches in the city centre between Corporation and Caroline’s student accommodation.

Caroline’s father, Chris Everest, has posted a photograph of himself and the teenager on his Facebook page, with the words: “Please come home safely.”

Caroline’s next door neighbour in Halford House said: “She’s respected by the others and by me. She’s really quite disciplined and doing what she has to do with her part time job.

“I remember we were just in the kitchen talking about stuff three days ago. I’m definitely really worried – I just want to punch down the wall and see her inside.”

Another Sheffield Hallam student, who lives on the floor above Caroline, said he last saw her on Saturday. The two weren’t friends, but he said they would exchange smiles in the stairwell.

Caroline is white, 5ft 6ins tall, and of slim build. She was wearing a black dress with a black cardigan, glasses and wore her long dark hair in a ponytail. She was carrying a black handbag with a cream strap.

n Anyone who saw Caroline at the nightclub or has information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
