In my opinion the CCTV of the persons shown on the programme are 2 different people the first person shown walking from the direction of the Limes to Heyworth Road is taller and has a different gait and is wearing a hooded garment , The second person is slightly shorter heavier build and lighter hair and a different gait possibly a limp .
I am confident in the future the technology to clean up video footage will confirm this.
I am concerned that the camera footage of the closet camera on the limes building fronting the main Heworth road and entrance to the Limes has still not been shown .This camera would give a full frontal view of the person/persons as they walked the last part of the high street before turning into The Limes entrance.
It would also have shown the light coloured car more clearly and its registration plate( I noted the light coloured car was not mentioned in the programme)
here are photos showing the CCTV cameras on The Limes building fronting Heworth Road The camera footage I would be interested in is marked camera 1.

If the phones new with little memory used. Claudia's type of phone from the producers specifications has about 6 hrs phoning time capacity
Sorry; I should of made myself clearer.
If we take it that Claudia's intention were to take her hair tongues to work . It could of suggested Claudia was intending to go out straight after work. Or more likely getting picked up from work and spending the evening with her new? partner; and staying at his house overnight.
Thus; meaning her hair tongues were in her rucksack with make up bag and overnight stuff etc. But for some reason she was in a rush or was summoned before she remembered or was allowed to take the phone charger.
Put simply; if Claudia did intend to take her hair tongues,surely it meant at least a drink straight after work. Or a drink later in the evening with an overnight stay. Therefore; surely Claudia would need her charger
That's unless her new partner had the same charger as Claudia; meaning Claudia used his
It's maybe a long shot; but did anyone notice people she drank with letting Claudia use their phone charger
It certainly could. But Claudia's hair tongues are missing. It could mean someone took them from her house before she was supposed to leave for work . Or the tongues could of been disposed of with her bag
But like I mentioned earlier;if we take it Claudia intended to take her tongues to work. Could that mean she was intending to get ready at work and have a pint straight after work with someone; to then meet SC later. Or was it Claudia was getting picked up at work in order to get ready at her new partners and then go for a drink with him;to then go and meet SC later

Claudia worked in the canteen and wore her hair tied back due to hygiene regulations.
She had naturally curly hair but straightened it as it was the fashion at the time.
If you check the videos of her leaving work and walking home she wore her hair down so given that the atmosphere of the kitchen and the effect the hairband might have had on her preferred hairstyle im not surprised she would have given her hair style a straighten before leaving work. She took care of her appearance.. and for what its worth I think as a young attractive women the college held opportunities to for her to receive the attention she liked, not only work colleagues, college staff, construction workers working on the huge new Science block but also delivery and maintenance staff that had contracts with the college. The suspect pool for me spreads much wider that the Nags Head crowd.
These are just my opinions

Would it be too much to ask if the police have run the male DNA they found through a more recent DNA database, after all these years who know they might get lucky and at least track down the smoker of the cigarette butt found in CL's car
Yes; certainly opinions. If Claudia was home that evening; I still feel someone in the pub knows something. The back alley route to the pub car park with no CCTV seems logical as an escape route. But surely 'someone in the know' would of provided the perpetrators with the all clear from the pub with reference to cameras
She left her house at some point, as there are no witnesses or cctv footage of her leaving via her front door you must therefore assume she left via the back door, I can only summise that the perpetrator must be very local as only a local would have such knowledge of the cctv, either that or someone got phenomenally lucky, which I very much doubt
If there are no images of her leaving her front door why did it take police years to check back ally?
I believe there was a blind spot of considerable distance and that’s when she was picked up by the dark man .she probably was ignoring him but he was having none of it
