Oh let's hope this is it and Claudia's family can finally get some answers

Interesting - as Clio's post shows - that reports say none of them have featured in the investigation before.

I am taking that to mean formal questioning rather than routine questioning

The investigation team would like to stress that Claudia has not been found.

Claudia's family have been notified about the arrests and are being supported by trained officers.

Poor family, to hear about arrests and bail and new arrests and not finding her daughter/sister and her real murderer. Very sad.

Can anyone give a rundown on arrests so far in this case. I know there was Snelling (?), then a 47 year old we took to be the Acomb landlord, and then the man last month who was unnamed. What were they all nicked for? Any others?

IIRC, Snelling was charged with murder and later released without charge..(personally I don't think he had anything to do with it...MOO). The Acomb landlord was charged with perverting the course of justice, I believe the charges have now been dropped (it was implied in one newspaper article that he provided new info to police, can't always believe newspapers though). The unnamed bloke from last month IIRC was charged with murder and is out on bail..Don't think there are any others till today, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

A 60-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case last year but was later released without charge.

Or is MS meant to this?

I think it's interesting that the male arrested last month had already been subject to a previous property search (as stated by one of his neighbours). We don't know if this may be the case with these new arrests as there were many searches carried out in the early stages which were not made public. Also, these arrests are close to the release from bail of the 47 year old after reportedly providing fresh information.

He was charged? I must have missed that. Are you sure?

I've just seen an online headline so popped over here to say fingers crossed that this is it, it will be interesting as someone above said to see if we get exterior house photos this time

Hopefully her poor family will finally get some answers.

Bearing in mind she was a young and pretty lady, does anyone else find it odd that all those questioned or arrested over the years have been so much older than her, and so many different men seemingly on the police radar? Makes me think that there is a strange 'background' to this case, and the police have kept a lot of things secret. I can't explain what I mean, as I don't want to accuse anybody of anything. I'm just wondering how so many men in their 50's (or late 40's then) would end up in her life somehow - just simply men who drank in the same pub as her, or is there a bigger connection?

I hope she can finally be found and returned to her family.

I hate to bring this up but there were rumours going around York that she was an escort.

Ajc

Yes, I did wonder the same, due to how the police always worded their appeals for "secret boyfriends" to come forward in confidence.

I've just woken up O_o, and here we go again. 3 men this time?
