I was wondering why there was a facebook missing group and I'm now pleased to see that someone has set one up.

I think it's OK for me to link as it's a public group (Mods please delete if I've got that wrong)

There are a lot of posts which I'm going to read now, hopefully something that will help with the search

Given that another RAF base is near to Barton Mills is it possible he got a lift from someone and then realised at Barton Mills he was going the wrong direction and got out, succumbed to hypothermia and is in that area? I know people who never ever watch the news and would be totally oblivious to missing persons appeals so maybe the person he got a lift from is like that too? I can't see the young teenagers having a car if they were strolling around at 4am.

I'd read some comments on social media by people quite locally who didn't know about this from the start so I agree it's possible that the teens just don't know anything about it

I don't know if it has been confirmed by police....if the CCTV footage was at 3.20am, were the local pubs still open and would doormen still be around?

Good point. The pub Corrie is seen walking past on CCTV would apparently have shut at 1.30am.

I was also thinking the same about the pub. Surely going by the time of CCTV which is 03:20am, it appears late by any standards to still be manning the doors. For an example, I live in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, hen and stag doo central yet tonight the nightclubs close at 3am, doors closed including bouncers away home to kip and believe me there are no '"legit' pubs here open past 1am, due to licensing laws.

I believe someone confirmed earlier that the grapes was open until 3. Perfectly feasible that doormen are still there 20 mins later while final customers are leaving and clearing up is taking place.

This should surely say 3am closing on the Friday... must be a misprint may be?

There seems to be different opening hours displayed everywhere for The Grapes but their Facebook page is current and being updated recently.

Locals on the Facebook page are saying the pub shuts at 3 on Friday and Saturday's.

Afaik the police have been clear that the two blurred out people are bouncers, is there a reason that this is being questioned?

Imho the closing time of the pub isn't relevant to what's happened to Corrie

This article has a bit of extra information about the 3 teens. The picture in the article says it's the shirt Corrie was wearing, that must be sloppy journalism, it looks very much like a recently bought replica shirt, it can't possibly be the actual one.

Thanks suzyjackson... I was wondering why the bouncers would still be outside at 3.20am if the pub closed at 2am ~ but someone has said though above, that a local has said it closes at 3am

The licensing laws in England are far more liberal than in Scotland.

I keep checking for news and hoping that he's been found, keep thinking 'how? How has he not been found yet!?!" and then I remember Adrian Lynch :( I really hope Corrie's loved ones don't have to endure months or years of not knowing ...

At least this explains why mum was so composed in the press conference,, I know I would have gone into shut down and been a complete mess as Ive had a taste of what this is like. My son was 6 years old, taken from home from one side of our village to the other and into woods by a local tearaway teen. All ended well so to speak... but its engraved in my mind..

Thanks for that article and sorry to hear about your son, that must have been horrendous for you.

It's interesting that there's no sign of him leaving the area, that leaves us with him still being there somewhere but hidden from view, unlikey as I'm sure the area musthave been well searched. Or having got a lift as the article says, no one has come forward to confirm this so no innocent reason but how likely is it that a random person would have given him a lift and then harmed him, not very imo.

I continue to be puzzled by the whole thing but hope it has a happy outcome

Excellent, eloquent, informative post from Corrie's uncle Tony.

Sat 8th Update.

Another update to try and consolidate some of the information and speculation into one post.

I'll start again though with a huge thank you from Nicola, Makeyan, Darroch and the whole family for everyone's messages of support, involvement with organising and distributing flyers and posters and continuing to share the messages on-line and off-line with so many people.

The mix of emotions caused by the anxiety and frustration coupled with the awesome kindness and compassion of all of you, can be overwhelming. Thank you so much.

Priority 'asks':

1. Identify the 3 people described in the Police release (2 male, 1 female aged approx. 16-18). If you think it could be you or someone you know - get in touch...please.

2. Anyone who was in Bury town centre area that night/morning, whether out for a drink, getting food, driving around, setting up market stalls or just walking the dog - please contact the incident number and tell them you were there. They want to speak to you - doesn't matter if you think you saw Corrie or anything suspicious or not.

3. Find the Nokia Lumia phone.

Activities:

1. Posters/Flyers are being handed out - you can get involved by watching the messages on this group page.

2. If you live in Bury or the surrounding area - please check your gardens, sheds, allotments etc.

3. Keep sharing on-line and off-line.

4. Please keep raising questions and suggestions - they are all welcome.

5. Keep checking the Suffolk Police FB and Twitter feeds for official information releases.

Speculation:

1. 'Sniffer dog scent lost at Tesco roundabout'.
This is not exactly correct. There was a search team out early on, with sniffer dogs. One of them may have detected a trace of something towards the Tesco roundabout, but there is no evidence to say it was anything to do with Corrie - this is quite normal when using trained detection dogs.

2. CCTV coverage. There is no confusion as to when Corrie left the club, slept, bought the food etc. The people in the clip that are blurred out/in the background have been eliminated from the inquiry.

However, CCTV coverage for Bury town centre and surrounding area is not comprehensive. If anyone has any private cctv that has not yet been provided to the Police - please contact them immediately.

At this stage we cannot determine how Corrie left the area he was last seen in - it may have been on foot or in a vehicle.

3. 'No third party involvement' Police and Press statements. These statements were based on the assumption that no terrorist connection has been made. Elements of the press have picked up on this statement and misreported it, assuming it meant 'of any kind' - which is wrong.

The Police are still actively pursuing lines of inquiry that may involve 3rd parties, such as Corrie getting in a vehicle (willingly or otherwise).

4. Searches. The specialist Police search teams and resources, assisted by the local Suffolk volunteer team from SULSAR continue to target specific search areas. Feedback from Corrie's Sqn mates, yourselves and through expert topographical analysis continue to direct that effort.

However, it is likely that military search team assistance will be called in shortly to increase the area coverage capacity of the limited Police resources.

I don't know if this will be extended to include members of the public at this stage - but they know they have a lot of volunteers if they do.

5. Fund raising. We really do appreciate the amazing desire to do something to help that many people have shown by trying to set up 'just giving' pages to support the family - at this stage we would prefer that any donations are directed towards SULSAR, to help them continue their physical search efforts.

6. National Media. A lot of you have asked why this is not featuring more heavily on National media. In part it has been intentional, to reduce the 'distraction load' on the Major Investigation Team (MIT), because they have to follow up on every lead - if they suddenly get calls from Lands End to John O'Groats with possible sightings or erroneous claims of people holding him etc. This would distract them from being able to follow up on all of the local, quality calls and information first.

However, given it has now been 2 weeks, you should expect to start seeing the media profile being raised in the coming days.

That's all I can think of for now. Thank you again to everyone - this page really does provide support and comfort to the family as we read your messages of support.

Thanks to Uncle Tony, I wish all families were as forthcoming with information as this.

Particularly interesting about the media coverage, I know it's a question that's been asked on many other cases so now we know.

Corrie's family seem so lovely, my heart hurts for them :(

Yes I found that most interesting too, and now it makes perfect sense!
If there's genuinely no reason to think someone is 100 miles away then having to investigate countless false sightings, 100 miles away from well meaning or other members of the public may be particularly unhelpful and wasteful on resources.
