Flamur Beqiri, a Swedish national, aged 36, was found suffering gunshot injuries; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our investigation is in the very early stages and we are still working to establish what the motive could be that has led to a man losing his life in such a horrific way, on Christmas Eve, in front of his family.

UPDATE: Murder investigation launched in Battersea

Locals confirmed to MailOnline that Mr Beqiri – known to them as Alex – was the victim of the shooting shortly before Scotland Yard formally named him.

The 36-year-old Swedish national who runs a record label was peppered with a spray of bullets on his return from an evening out with his family at around 9pm on Tuesday

Swedish documents show that Flamur moved to the UK in 2016.

He previously had close connections to major figures in Malmo’s underworld and was linked to a massive cannabis smuggling plot 12 years ago.

Swedish media have reported that his murder was “linked to criminal networks” in the country.

Alex was a close associate of Naief Adawi, 33, and his physician wife Karolin Hakim, 31, who was shot dead while holding their two-month-old baby on 26 August this year.

[...] In 2008, Karolin’s husband Naief was one of a gang of 20 men who stole 62million Danish Kroner - £7million in sterling - in one of Denmark’s biggest ever cash in transit robberies.

I was reading in one of the earlier articles that a neighbour had walked his daughter to the bus stop only 5 minutes before this happened, and on his way back past the house he saw Alex on the ground with people crowding around. I wonder which bus stop he went to, being as you can't get that far in 5 minutes. It suggests to me that he would have waited to see his daughter safely board the bus if he was concerned enough to take her there, and possibly the assailant would be captured on the bus camera, either waiting near the house or fleeing the scene.

Also, I see there is a bus stop next to Alex's house, and his house looks like it has a security camera focused on the entrance.

It's the one with the light grey door, going from the doorstep picture linked in the article in post #11 - link to google maps : خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏

Police in Sweden are working with Scotland Yard on the case because 'several' of his former associates and friends have been murdered since he emigrated to the UK three years ago, a source told the Sydsvenskan newspaper in Malmo, where Flamur grew up after moving there from an Albanian community in Kosovo.
