Mustn't forget also, that either/or J/N shook hands when introducing themselves, had read Helen's book, knew Boris's name and knew IS was GGHW. Oops I almost forgot, was kindly enough to replace the cesspit lid for IS - how thoughtful. :gaah:

The most mannerly kidnappers in history. Apologising all the time! Letting him phone the police "if you must" but only after 3pm. What a crock.

thanks jessie, , sad I missed it, I love old classic movies will try To catch it.

found this, wonder how many HB would have ticked?

If you identify with these 10 signs, you’re most likely being gaslighted.
1 You are constantly second-guessing yourself.
2 You start to question if you are too sensitive.
3 You often feel confused and have a hard time making simple decisions.
4 You find yourself constantly apologizing.
5 You can’t understand why you’re so unhappy.
6 You often make excuses for your partner’s behavior.
7 You feel like you can’t do anything right.
8 You often feel like you aren’t good enough for others.
9 You have the sense that you used to be a more confident, relaxed and happy person.
10 You withhold information from friends and family so you don’t have to explain things.

This is very interesting Fpath.

maybe she would've ticked 1, 2, 3?, 6?,9 & 10? ( pure speculation of course)

Wish there was one for "Are you being secretly drugged !"( I just googled that - it's all sex assault related)

somewhat unrelated to ^ another point I wanted to re-paste was this:
I appreciate that there will always be rows in families and step- relationships too but I still think this quote from one of her closest friends was interesting in terms of phrasing

Margaret Mason,
On March 2, 2016, Helen sent me a private message describing problems she was having. “She finished the post saying ‘shall we all just run away, change our names and start again?’

I think that's quite odd really. I can appreciate wanting to run away from problems but there's a hint of something more in the BIBold

LOL netEd - yes but you weren't famous at 17 having done a very personal blog/book publicly

maybe she felt she'd painted herself into a corner with being public about her recent choices, if you see what I mean.

Good point :D

In my defence, I've already had a glass or two of Lidl's strongest red wine (yes I check every bottle for proof % before buying, the taste is secondary).

The blog and the bikini book had introduced her to a different and wider audience. She found it hard having to relive all the bereavement stuff, so I think it's understandable.

if you type in "am i secretly being poisoned " that gives so many auto suggestions though!

One of my best friends does that - always asks the bar man which is the strongest - when confronted by a huge variety of real ales. Anything 15% basically. I'm always " which is the lowest" ( light weight)

I've re-read the defence statement and the things that stand out for me are:

A mild mannered non violent man is more likely to drug and suffocate his partner than two punch throwing intimidating brutes,

A bank account holder herself is less likely to make mistakes accessing their own bank account than someone who can barely set up a blog in a box.

IS wouldn't need more than £2,000 a month whilst living with a partner who brought in a similar amount of cash but say she were to go missing ... he might just need a bit extra,

Being a widower does not mean you can't possibly manipulate widows, in fact it gives a greater insight into their vulnerabilities,

He lied, and lied and lied and lied. He told barefaced lies, he schemed, he plotted, he told lies to cover up lies. That sort of behaviour to be able to do it that convincingly to that extent in such a way that your own family are not suspicious does not come from nowhere, it's well practiced.

And Boris, no one but IS had anything to gain from killing Boris.

It will be quite something if it's the Boris question that convinces the jury that only IS could have done the awful deed, Helen's husband bought her that little sausage, it would be poetic justice that from beyond the grave John Sinfield and Boris the wonderdog should have a hand in that horrible man's conviction.

Yeah but if you'd been lambasted by a minority for jumping in quick - would it make it harder to get out publicly .

Still doesn't fit with the wedding excitement though nor her personality - so scratch what I said ^ - just thinking out loud really.

Do we have an accountant in the house or a tax specialist? It would be good to see a breakdown of what IS could inherit if he is found not guilty, assuming the trustee to the will pays up. As he said he would honour her written word although he knows he does not have to do this.

What if the trustee decides not to honour HB's written word, which he is perfectly within his rights to do (I think), and excludes IS from receiving anything? Can IS appeal or is the trustee's word final?

If he gets off and does not get anything (or very little) he is going to find himself in dire straights (I like this idea :happydance:). Scant punishment methinks for being a murderer.

I feel sure his Legal costs will wipe out most of his savings, leaving him with only his share of the house when sold. This may take some long time because I think most people would not happily live in a house in which there had been a murder. I know I wouldn't. The history of the house would likely reduce the value somewhat although as prices have risen he would probably get all his ?£450,000 back in time.

The only downside here is that his innocent sons could suffer too.

I just asked my (specialises in wills and estates) solicitor housemate who said he would be entitled to everything as per the will.

Although can someone tell me the details of where there is question over the will?

Housemate said that if a will was in place and someone contacted to say they wanted to change the will, if they then died, the will would be honoured, not the request.

Anyway, I have a top-level specialist here, so if you have questions about the will, tell me the details and I can get answers! Ha!

another poisoner fraudster/fantasist 2017

Twisted husband admits poisoning wife with laxatives and stole thousands of pounds from her

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/twisted-husband-admits-poisoning-wife-9644076
A devoted wife was poisoned with laxatives by a thieving fantastist throughout their marriage.

David Smith, 62, regularly laced successful Ayr business owner Liz’s meals with drugs over the course of three years putting her life at risk.

And the Walter Mitty character also lied that he was an SAS hero, owned a factory share and lost his first ballerina wife in an accident.

The gran-of-three had to give up work because of constantly passing out and battled sickness, diarrhoea and dizziness.

The 62-year-old never once suspected her husband was the cause until after he was caught stealing thousands of pounds from her. The nail technician told the Post: “He was an evil genius. He made me so ill. The kids could have lost their grandmother. I was never away from the doctor and was admitted to hospital but no one knew what was wrong. He was my whole world and we were like soulmates.

"I loved him with every bone in my body. Now I hate him. He told me so many lies. My heart, soul and body was violated by a stranger. I never knew him.”

loads more at the link cause it's the DRecord - some striking similarities

Probably completely O/T flightpath, but the film Gaslight was on TCM yesterday, Ingrid Bergman & Charles Boyer 1944.
Where the 'gaslighting' phrase began.

It's been (in play form) on at the Cambridge Arts this week...

With regard to the Gangsters with Good Manners, I have to say I wish the men we had round from National power last year were anything like so polite. (Apart from the punch in the stomach.) I can't believe any adult male who claims (as IS does) to have higher education says, "belly button" but there you go....

Finally caught up... where do you even start?!

When I grow up(im still kidding myself) I do NOT want to be a defence barrister! What a job eh? Mind you, ive met a few mentalists that would be perfect for it.

I think also she was always apologising to IS even he said she did for being kidnapped! When he spoke to her on kidnappers phone she said sorry for all the fuss! 🙄🤔😱

Thank you very much. Perhaps not what I really wanted to hear.

Could you please ask your housemate to listen/watch the video to the report on the will which was included in the Cambridge News.

This is where it seemed to me that he could get nothing.

All he's done really is given them a checklist for ticking that they can be sure IS is a psychopath who fooled everyone in his life.

He had it all, this 55 year old with no known history and more money than he needed, as well as a fiancee who loved him, and look what he did.

I feel sorry for the police if by some remote chance IS is found not guilty as they then have to ‘find’ the real killers.

All they have to go on are the names of ‘Nick and Joe’ who appear to be a pair of wraith like entities who mysteriously drifted in and out of IS’s life completely unnoticed by anyone. Absolutely no living witnesses whatsoever to their existence, they are invisible to the extent of appearing merely to be a figment of the imagination.

More chance of the police finding fairies at the bottom of the Chief Constables garden!
