Can't find any reports on the above.

CCTV footage was retrieved of Lewis using Iuliana’s bank card and her PIN later that day at a cash machine.

Cell site analysis of her phone showed it was carried back to an area near Lewis’ home address. He was arrested on New Year’s Day and cable ties and muddy jeans with blood matching Iuliana’s DNA profile found in his flat.

Would explain why there was no evidence of a sexual attack, although in that case I don't understand why it was classified as sexually motivated. Looks more like a hate crime to me.

Anyway, good he got a stiff sentence. How old is he now?

He's 31. This might answer some of your questions.

Police went to Lewis’ home on New Year’s Eve and found cable ties like those used on the victim and a knife in the fridge, before finding the bisexual defendant at his on-off boyfriend’s Dalston flat.

So he'll be in his 60s or older, if he ever gets out again.

As always, I never think the sentence is enough - can only hope he doesnt get parole when the 29 years is over.

I think he must have indicated he was going to plead guilty at the previous hearing because Iuliana's dad flew over from Cyprus for today's hearing.

Is this the same guy charged with another murder?



A man accused of murdering a mum-of-one at her home in North London has denied the charge.

Catherine Burke, 55, was stabbed to death at her house in Muswell Hill in November 2017.

Ms Burke, a retired civil servant, was found dead by police after concerned neighbours raised the alarm.

Kasim Lewis came before the Old Bailey by video link on Tuesday (April 16) and pleaded not guilty to murdering Ms Burke on a date between November 14 and 17, 2017.

A 31 year old suspect in CB's murder was arrested Jan 2nd 2018.

One person, a 31-year-old man, has so far been arrested - back on January 2 this year. He was later released under investigation.

A convicted murderer has today, Thursday, 18 July, been sentenced to life to serve a minimum of forty years at the Old Bailey for killing a second woman in her own home in north London in 2017.

Kasim Lewis, 32, (10.10.1986), pleaded guilty at the same court on Monday 15 July to stabbing Catherine Burke to death after gaining entry to her home in Hill Road, Haringey, on the night of Wednesday 15 November.

Lewis is currently serving a 29 year minimum tariff for the murder of another woman, Iuliana Tudos, which he committed six weeks after killing Catherine, who was 55 at the time she died. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced in May last year for this murder. Both sentences will run concurrently.

Lewis will not be eligible for parole until he is 72 years old.
